Dave Malloy wrote a musical around 2003 called Clown Bible which is exactly what it sounds like. Jesus was a woman, and her last song was an opera ballad. Definitely not as conventional as the other shows listed here but it’s pretty good!

Jeff Calhoun is directing a non-union production of His Story: The Musical in Dallas - it’s a contemporary pop musical based on Jesus’s life, and it opens in May.
The theatrical cabaret troupe The Tiger Lillies used to end their shows with an audience participation sketch about raping Jesus as he dies on the cross. Their whole show was designed with something to offend everyone, and they went all-in on that last one.

Terrence McNally's play Corpus Christi is another (though the character is called Joshua).
