Yo suttonfoster, I've been wanting anneliese van der pol as glinda for a long time. They would be absolutely perfect together. I would actually want to see wicked again multiple times.

Kate Shindle is not the person replacing Teal Wicks.

Besides, she's doing ENTER LAUGHING during the time that the cast change will take place anyway.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

IDK for sure if this is true but from a youtube video i found i read a recent comment that the user went to a performance last week and befriended an usher who told the person that at the last meeting they were talking about Dee Rociolli (spelling???) coming back to play Elphaba again. This I just what I read. I would love for Laura Woyasz to move up to Galinda full time ....but that will never happen cause gets payed more as the standby

Mamie Parris (Ragtime, 9 to 5 national tour) is supposed to be joining Wicked to play Elphaba, but I assume it's the tour and not at the Gershwin. Regardless, she's fabulous and I hope that is one rumor that turns out to be true.

Kate Fahrner, who played Glinda in the Chicago company, is going to be the new Glinda stand-by. You heard it here first.

Amanda when I saw 9 to 5 on tour I got drinks with some of the other ensemble members in the show and they told me specifically that Mamie WILL be elphaba in Wicked. As to which company has yet to be announced, but she is next in line at some point!

I think Katie and Teal are both leaving on September 25th (so sad, they're my favorite Elphie/Glinda pair).
Anyone know how long it usually takes for the replacements to be announced? I'm not sure how this works, thanks :)

Mamie Parris is an interesting choice. I'd probably see her if she joined the cast. I really enjoyed her in SEE ROCK CITY and what I've heard of her in RAGTIME.

I doubt Dee Roscioli is coming back to the Gershwin. The only reason she is doing the tour is because it's for a short stint on a few stops (ala Shoshana Bean) and rumor has it that Mamie Parris will take over for her. If she does return I'll be a bit upset. Don't get me wrong, Dee has won me over, she is simply amazing but come on...bring someone new.

On topic of Kate Shindle blowing out her voice in Wonderland...she said in an interview that after they were told that they only had like a week or two before they closed...she pretty much stopped reserving her voice so much (as she would do if expecting a long run) and started going full out every night...which led to her being a bit tired towards the end. I have no doubt that she would be able to perform Elphaba. She would most likely take 2 performances off a week cuz she seems smart and knows when too much is too much, but the 6 main one's she would kill! And on Seth's recent OBSESSED video she belted an A several times in a row...which I know is quite different then doing it 8 times a week but she did it during Legally Blonde. But again...that was for like 5 seconds for one song.

Katie and Teal have been with Wicked for quite awhile. It'll be nice to see where they take their talents next.

Shindle would be an interesting choice. She's already survived a role that required singing her tonsils out.

Texanaddams: the new cast usually starts the next performance, so it would be Sept 27 for the new leads.

Jessica hasn’t been in the show on broadway for even 9 months yet and Katie has been in the show for less than 2 months. They aren’t looking for a next Glinda yet i bet.
