At this point, I guess I'm also assuming Jake Boyd is a shorter-term Fiyero, since they haven't actually announced him in the role. Last time they did that was with Curt Hansen filling in between Ashley Parker Angel and Ryan McCarten."
MK is not performing with Wicked, Laurel Harris is. MK is making an announcement about the show she's performing in, presumably Mean Girls. Laurel is leaving at some point in the near future but is being replaced by Jenny DiNoia (not when Jenny replaced her for her vacation, she's coming back for an actual run as standby)"
wicked released a video featuring interviews with Hannah. And i got absolutely giddy seeing her in the act 2 gown. Can’t wait for people to discover how fierce she is
I was there last night - she's really good. Very expressive facially. She's tiny, and looks SO young. She needs to find a little more confidence vocally, but that will obviously come with a little time under her belt. Her vibrato is very rapid naturally, something I really like, but at times it was kind of uneven (I assume due to nerves) and I worried she would lose control if that makes sense. No Good Deed was easily her best number. I am looking forward to see how she develops in the role. Enormous potential. For a first night (not to mention Broadway debut) she absolutely crushed it.

I don't know what performance of Wicked you were watching but she is one of the best Elphabas I've ever seen, easily the best lead Elphaba Broadway has had in ages. She's also the first brand new Elphaba to lead Broadway since Lindsay Mendez back in 2013, so maybe cut her some slack in her first few weeks.

Quite a stretch to say she is the best they had in ages but to each their own.

I would go back and listen to Jessica Vosk's First Defying Gravity on Tour and compare it to her Last on Broadway.

I will respectfully but strongly disagree. Saw her last week and she really impressed me, both vocally and acting-wise. I've seen a lot of Elphabas over the years in several different companies, and she's probably in my top three favorites, even while she's still settling into the role.
Also, regarding the other lead replacement: I'm told that Jake Boyd is indeed the permanent new Fiyero for a full contract, not a short-term run a la Curt Hansen.

I just listened to Vosk's first. She's placed, her vibrato is even, and she sounds, well, great. I have my own issues with Vosk--her phrasing bugs me--but listening to Vosk only made me loathe Corneau more.
"
Gosh, you have a lot of hateful words to say about Hannah. I saw her yesterday and she’s one of the strongest elphaba’s out of the 15 I’ve see . I’ve never seen anything like her- her acting and singing was amazing. She impressed me so much. Maybe go back and give her another chance before you keep spewing your negative thoughts everywhere. She could’ve been having an off day, and she’s only been in the role for 2 weeks now? Jeez.

Hannah, calm down! The above poster wasn’t trying to personally attack you. In fact, he made well formed options! If you are afraid of the things people are going to read about you, don’t read message boards!

Anyone else see Jordan Fisher tweeting Dancing Through Life lyrics a few days ago? Last time he was tweeting song lyrics like this was for Hamilton and then they announced him joining the cast. I’d be happy with him as Fiyero
She was incredible. Probably the strongest Elphaba vocally next to Shoshana Bean that I’ve ever seen. Her tone really reminded me of Idina, and it was so nice to hear that score sung by a unique voice again instead of the contemporary musical theatre sound they’ve generally gone for as the show has gotten older.
