So Dee Roscioli holds the record in North America for playing Elphaba in the most performances. I have to think with Jackie's return she's got to be close to beating that record.
I feel like Jennifer Dinoia is up there for most performances as well. I would think she has significantly more than Jackie given how many companies she's been in.
Jennifer DiNoia has significantly more performances in the role than Jackie Burns, and also holds the distinction of having performed the role on the most continents (4, I believe).
Hasn't Burns only done the show for a little over a year? Roscioli and DiNoia have been with the show in some capacity for over 5 years, on and off.
Burns was the national tour's Elphaba from July 2010 to June 2011 before becoming the Broadway principal from September 2011 to February 2013, so about two and a half years.
I thought she was on Broadway longer. Thanks for the updates! It's fascinating that this beast of a role has so many ladies who continue to return (though I have heard that they are compensated very well in comparison to some contracts) the role isn't an easy sing. It takes a real pro to do it without straining and damaging their instrument. It's really commendable.

That still puts her at least a couple of years behind DiNoia and Roscioli, though.

Well actually it could potentially be closer than you might first expect. Even though Jenny has been with Wicked forever, she's actually been the lead for 28 months total by the time her current run finishes. Dee is on around 34 months, while Jackie currently has done 27 months.
The real difference is that Jenny did around 4 years as standby in different companies. Obviously there's no way of knowing for sure how many times she went on in those four years, but it wouldn't need to be that many to catch up to Dee's extra six months as lead - the equivalent of once a week really, which given the size of the Elphaba role seems quite likely. Dee also did a year as standby in Chicago too.
So right now they'd be way ahead of Jackie, but assuming she did a typical 8/9 month contract, she'd probably end up being closer to them than you might think. I'd be surprised if she did do the full contract, but you never know! :)

is it definitely known that Jessica is going to Bway from the tour, or is that a guess? She's knocking my socks off here in Boston. I am all for her.
Nobody knows Vosk's post-tour plans yet, rcwr, but it looks like a lot of people are rooting for her to head to the Gershwin next. I too was floored by her on the tour.
I'm hoping she does a tad longer on tour. I'd love to see her when it's in Chicago, but it's not looking to be the case.
For Fiyero, I'd love to see Travis Taber be bumped up.

I didn't listen enough to that video, but it seems he's on for the rest of the week. Michael is out on injury according to comments on this photo https://instagram.com/p/BVz9pFvnoH-/

Wait so Jackie is coming back on broadway? I want to ask where you guys found out, but some people are very secretive with this stuff, so I'd imagine no one would answe. Didn't she say she wanted to move onto other things somewhere? Anyways I really hope this happens, Jackie burns is amazing!!!
Saw the show tonight and Kyle's quite amazing :) since I've never really followed the cast of Wicked before, has he been in this role (not as an alternate) before or anything?
@yaoqian Kyle has been off and on with the show for quite some time. The last time he made an appearance, though was 3 and half years ago.
