If the clue was “a certain recent breakout star with a Tony nom,” then the person who makes the most sense is Hannah Cruz.

Wasn't Lear trying to court Rachel Zegler for a revival?

Give me Ashley Park as Maria and Colin Farrell as the captain.

Laura is 40 (too old/weird) and Kelli is too youthful looking (50) to play those roles. And Laura is a proud MAGAt who lives in the South who voluntarily shook the small hand of A Sociopathic Child Rapist. Twice. Everyone hates him in NYC and they would absolutely hate her if she ever came back. She also stated as such in her lawsuit that she was done with Broadway. She feels "unsafe" to ever return. 

I heard Rachel Zigler wanted to be Maria in a future production of Sound of Music at Lincoln Center. Just a silly rumor, surely, but she would have been great.

The Next to Normal proshot is so good that I have been irrationally hopeful the full London cast (or at least the main four actors, or Tveit if they insist on a Broadway star) would transfer. It’s a revival that I would plan a New York City trip around.

I am resigned to the idea that it probably won’t happen. But at least we have the proshot.

I think it would be so cool to see Tveit go from playing "Gabe" in the original run to "Dan" in the revival. Does he have any interest in doing the revival?

My guess is that the numbers don't work. The original production of Next to Normal cost 4 million dollars. It would probably cost 12 million today because everything is out of control.
