Next to Normal Broadway Transfer Fall 2026 — Page 5

I said "I figured", which was a description of my thought in the moment. When I heard that, I immediately thought/figured, oh, obviously, N2N... I'm not confirming, I'm saying that in the situation I drew this conclusion.

In a recent interview with Broadway.com, Paul Wontorek asked Caissie Levy if there's any chance she'd do Next to Normal again. She responded with "I will always be open to revisiting it." (18:37)

I’ve wondered if this all started from the sweaty oracle and just spread like wildfire without actually being true."
I commented on sweaty oracle’s tik tok he made a few months ago about the revival asking what the status was, and he said “The Booth Theatre Spring.”
I wonder how true this is?

Yep, Audra shut down any GYPSY rumors even though we all knew it was true.

True true and if I was her, I would want to focus on the insane month ahead in campaiging for a Tony for Ragtime.

And it’s been almost three years since this production premiered at the Donmar. The longer it takes the less and less I think this is eventually going to happen in NYC.

Ah yes, trusting that person as a source. Gross. I don't think this will happen since Steven wisely pointed out it's been years. I know very little about this show or if it was a smashing success here when it first came to Broadway, perhaps they are unsure if it would even do well? Announce or let it go.

I restate my initial understanding through her management that come Fall Caissie will be with another project. I would be curious to see if there was announce post Tony weekend, especially if she is awarded. I understood that it was transferring to be a fall opening, but other than Caissie I don't know that the rest of the cast is transferring with it.

I'd be curious if this production got pushed to spring '27 or fall '27 with all the revivals it would be up against (if it's happening at all)

For a show with very serious subject matter (bipolar disorder), it was huge hit and recouped investment in the first year it ran on Broadway. Alice Ripley gave awesome performance and won Tony award for Best Actress in Leading Role. It was when others and I discovered Aaron Tveit who had one of the big showstopper songs "I'm Alive". Lost to "Billy Elliot" for Best Musical but received 11 Tony nominations (won 3).

Thanks for reminding me that it won Pulitzer.

People need to stop asking performers about the status of potentially upcoming shows at public appearances. They will never be able to give a full or totally honest answer.

Feels like a hard sell in this economy. Not taking any artistic merits into consideration, looking at the grosses for new shows like Lost Boys & Schmigadoon - they seem to be having a hard time breaking out. Big shows that are just over a year old like DBH & BVSC seem to be treading water. I think something like NtN would do better at a non-profit. What's the rumor for what's next at Lincoln Center?

A few usually trustworthy folks have said that Show Boat is coming up in 2027. Given the upcoming Spring Gala performance of Man of La Mancha, it wouldn't be too surprising for that to end up getting a full run in the next few years.

If that's true they probably can just re-use most of Ragtime's (none) set. A few cardboard cutouts of waves along the front edge of the stage to suggest they're out on the water. Give me the Tony for scenic design now.
I would have been in my early 20's when the tour came through from the last revival, but I didn't care back then.

I'd ask you to elaborate, but I don't believe you have a clue.

Is the next big LCT revival going to be SOUND OF MUSIC? Or is it LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC?

I have heard they're doing Sound of Music and want a certain recent breakout star with a Tony nom...
