I have watched most of the shows where these fights or passionate discussions (to put it another way) came into play. While O'Donnell and Hasselback always said they were still friends, I think O'Donnell was smart to leave early. The last argument was the ugliest yet and O'Donnell made the statement at the end of the argument that she was NOT going to argue with Elizabeth for the remaining three weeks (I believe because she felt it was upsetting Elizabeth and Elizabeth is pregnant). Rosie is a passionate person and while I do not always agree with her, I will miss her because she was honest (whether people wanted to hear her comments or not). While right wing news channels tried to paint her as unpatriotic, she has done a lot monetarily and emotionally in support of the troops but does NOT agree with the war and is vocal about that. Having seen Hasselback defend the current administration when it defies all logic, I think O'Donnell knows it is Elizabeth's right to her opinion just as O'Donnell has HER own right her HER opinion.
I don't believe she looks like a quitter, though some may paint her that way. You can't really do much about what others say about you. If she wants to bail out 3 weeks early in order to follow her own conscience, let everyone draw their own conclusions. Frankly, after this past 6 months, I think I would have quit a long time ago just out of disgust for those who twisted her words...but maybe I am not as stubborn as she is :)
