That number seems to have gotten the best audience response so far.
I can't say about the rest of the show, but that opening number was fab.

So far I think Wedding Singer takes the performance of the night. The energy was so huge.

I love Stephen Lynch but that show is so, so bad. That was not the audience for Wedding Singer. It's so obvious that Wedding Singer is the redheaded step child in that room. No love, no respect.

I wish that THe Wedding Singer would have done a medley like Sweeney did..."It's your Wedding Day" is definitely not the best song in that show, even though it's a good one. If they had done a medley that could have featured all of the main cahracters in a medley of good songs, it would have been fantastic, probably best performance of the night. But...that was only so-so. Stephen Lynch is HOOOOT, though!
"I can't figure out what kind of life this is, comedy or tragedy, I just know it's showbiz. And what if I don't agree with the lines I have to read? They don't pay me enough, the way I see it."

The "Wedding Singer" number was great and should help them sell a lot of tickets. Love is what I do!
And, don't shoot me but I think so far, the perfs have played out as:
1. Jersey Boys
2. Wedding Singer
3. Sweeney Todd
4. Drowsy Chaperone

they looked like they had a blast -- does anyone else think stephen lynch looked a little nervous? or overwhelmed about being at the Tonys?

I think that was the perfect number for Wedding Singer to choose. It seemed to get a really good audience response and played well on tv. I think that will help boost ticket sales.
We've all got our junk and my junk is you!
