There is only one Patti.
This Patti Murin is a minor character and, unfortunately, her name will forever be tainted for me as someone who resorts to Trump-type trolling tactics and is not respectable. Sympathy for the rest of the Nerds cast/crew, though, unless they get in on this poorly targeted exercise of desperate catharsis. Maybe Murin is just desperate to blame anyone?

I am floored by & impressed with @BroadwayWorld and Rob Diamond. There are now "Report Abuse" links on all messages.
What a FRIGGING SUCK UP. Now she thinks she's an activist thanks to something LizasHeadband probably caused to happen.
I would like to apologize if I was ever negative to anyone on here that didn't deserve it, and as a show of good faith, I would like to give you $20 off your next TodayTix order. Just use referral code: VGWAW to accept my apology. Thanks.
Question...is Patti going to call out fellow actress Morgan James for some comments she made about Into the Woods in Central Park a few years back? This tweet doesn't strike me as particularly positive...
@morganajames
HOW can you **** up Into the Woods?? I fear musicianship is dead in musical theatre. And acting, for that matter. #horrified
Why wasn't Ms. James mentioned by name in Patti's diatribe?

Thank you, Tonya.

Don't fall down the rabbit hole of reading other actors' tweets of support. It will just make you sad.
@thewillswenson Couldn't agree more Patti! Chat boards are the bathroom wall of Broadway. SO well wrote
If patti hates the boards so much why does she read them?

I'm just stuck on the "well wrote" part.

I refuse to bathroom wall shame, Will Swenson.

Namo, I didn't realize that was you. I want your old profile picture back.
I'm happy so many broadway performers are taking that brave stand against their fans.

I lolled. And I accidentally reported this comment.

Patti will be at the whine party Saturday night.

That was good.

I want to say something so bad but fear I'll be the subject of another #BwayMessageBORED or whatever so I'll just say "Will, you're pretty."

Isn't that the best part? Broadway is a small community to begin with, I find it hilarious that she's trying to take down one of the few sites supporting their work.

That was well wrote. Wrote good, even.
Phyllis, your last comment (which was deleted) made me laugh so hard, I honest to God, hurt my side.

I agree! Freedom of speech is right. I just would like them to be a completely separate site from BWW.

Stupendous idea, Patts! Maybe you can get the major investor who bailed on nerds (sic) to pay for it!

Exactly. I did enjoy her in Xanadu and was slightly disappointed to miss Lysistrata Jones. Then seeing her attached to this show left me a bit interested. Now I may think twice before wanting to see her in another show because if I am not impressed, she'll be upset.

So, what's her real problem here? Snark? Because she and Annoying Actor Friend and their cohorts on twitter are all snark machines. Anonymity? Because I've always seen people railing against anonymity to be no more than "say it to my face" types, all bark and pond scum. It is because we made her dog cry? Because no one made her dog cry (what even was that about).
Sometimes people are dicks on here.
Sometimes they are snarky or sarcastic or cynical or cutting.
A lot of the time they have good criticism, analyses, and information.
There is a wealth of information on here, and it's a fantastic way to connect.
The message board is so easy to avoid, so I don't even understand the argument about that. Don't click on it. Done! There. And if you mistakenly click on it, click somewhere else.
The downside to a public profession is that you're presenting yourself to the public. And the public has a lot of people with different attitudes and mindsets and takes on things and ways they communicate.
I can't wait to see what here gets reported as "abusive."
