Disney's furiously putting together an ad to be shown at the end of the broadcast:
On December 25 see a REAL musical - cut to 30 second ad for Into the Woods. Cut to local news.

I see someone like Jim Brochu as Hook. Christian Borle is just distracting with his arms exposed... Let's hope whatever musical they do next year, he isn't in it.

I can't wait to see the ratings numbers on this. I wonder if this broadcast will kill the idea of doing another live musical next holiday season.

I think part of the problem is you cannot capture the magic of theater on film. It's a different medium and maybe we should stop trying to merge them.

Well I like Wendy's song, I always thought she needed a solo. However the peter/hook song was ridiculous and ruined all of the drama in the scene.

Kelli will be singing a reprise of the song that Wendy sang on the boat.

I was really looking forward to this, but the whole thing just seems off. The pacing is so ungodly slow. It really pales in comparison to last years The Sound of Music. The sets are beautiful, the actors (save for Walken) seem to be trying their best, but it just is not coming together.
