I think perhaps there were a fair number of people who, like myself, were in line only with the intention of learning about the performance schedule.

The "every 15 minutes" schedule seems to support my previously-noted expectation that this will be a theme park-style, "continuous-load" experience, which likely also means there will be several casts and the music not be performed live."
Unlikely. Seems more like the CABARET experience (at least at the start of the run). There's a "Prologue" with multiple viewing areas throughout the space -- and entrances are staggered -- but then everyone watches pretty much the same "actual show" -- which takes place in different parts of the space.

There's no code, so I don't think you need an email; just navigate to:

It's similar to the Museum of Broadway; you pick an available date and time slot, but there are no "seats", so that's it.

Has there been any info on a runtime?

And the most descriptive sections is:
This experience takes place on multiple floors and guests will be moving both throughout the venue; and, in dimly lit and dark spaces over the course of the event; furthermore guests may experience strobing lights, theatrical haze, theatrical fog, exposure to open flame, exposure to white fuel, high-impact automation and rigging elements, exposure to the elements (ie. outdoors) continuous immersion, close-proximity with performers and audience members, extremely loud music and sound effects."
And then there's this:
By entering the Venue, the Ticket Holder acknowledges and agrees that you may be photographed, filmed, and/or otherwise recorded and your grant of the unrestricted right to use your likeness, voice, and name in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, throughout the world and in perpetuity, for any purpose whatsoever, including but not limited to promotional, marketing, legal and commercial use by Production & Concession POTO LLC, the Venue, sponsors and affiliated partners, without compensation or further notice.

Curiously, I found no indication of runtime anywhere on the site.
Since it's a month before first preview, they might not have a run time yet.

Finally got a ticket. Not thrilled about having to come Labor Day weekend, but I'm still excited.
"SOLD OUT" Crazy.
Woah!
I wonder if this is a situation where they might release more seats per date after previews begin? I imagine there'll be a level of trial-and-error in seeing how many people can comfortably fit in the space. Perhaps for the moment they're being conservative - which could also be why only previews are onsale at the moment.
The sweaty one claimed it's costing SPIDER-MAN-level money to capitalize (and lord knows what it costs to run each week), so it's going to have to run for years to recoup.

It will be very interesting to see how they decide (and who makes the calls) on whether or not each person is "appropriately" dressed in formalwear. Will they deny entry to those who do not make the cut (and provide refunds)??
"Formal attire" in NYC in August is a pretty ridiculous requirement.

Good for them! Guess those prices weren’t as offensive to the public as they were to members of this forum.
The fact that a 6-week preview period sold out in less than 4 hours means probably one of two things:
This obviously won’t be able to accommodate Broadway-sized audiences, but that’s still a lot of tickets to sell over the course of a month and a half of performances if “sold out” is an accurate announcement. I’d personally prefer hearing that the audiences are a manageable size, as the audience for Sleep No More was consistently the negative point.

There are no seats; you just select a date and time, and that's it.
I suspect it sold out quickly because a fairly limited number of people are allowed into each of those 15-minute slots. This is a walk-through, room-to-room experience, and I very much doubt that hundreds of people will enter every 15 minutes. I wouldn't be surprised if each slot admits no more than 50 people (if that).
This isn't being presented in a warehouse; if it was, those who don't manage to get a spot in the first few rows of people in any room would quickly get irritated because they wouldn't be able to see over the heads of the crowd. Remember, you won't be seated in each space - you're just going to be standing there. If this was in a traditional theatre, tickets prices would vary depending on proximity to the stage, viewing angle, and any obstructions to the sightlines. These tickets are all the same price, so they have to avoid complaints that some people got a better view for the same cost. How many people can they realistically cram into a room at once and still be able to assure that each of them is able to see everything going on?
How many plan to wear their Sleep No More mask to this?
Formal attire is gonna be a huge ask. It will be no problem wearing all black, white, or sliver, though. You wanna make me stand for how long?
"For six weeks of special previews, we celebrate the Phantom's return with festive dress." Does this mean future audiences can dress as they please? Flip flops, pajama pants, sweats, baseball caps, tank tops...
Yes, I’m familiar with how immersive theatre is structured and that there are no literal seats (although, there will undoubtedly be seated moments). Seat is a relative term in my post.
Returning to the Sleep No More comparisons (since that appears to be the closest model to this given Diane Paulus’ involvement after bringing it to America and the behind-the-scenes work of Punchdrunk alums throughout its development and even now), that show accommodated up to 400ish people per performance. The time slots were just there to keep everything flowing, though it did result in later time slots missing approx. one hour of the show for the same price as those who went in earlier. If that same audience model is being implemented here, then I would hope it’s closer to 50/slot than 66/slot.

"Hide your face. Do not be late. Dress the part." And most importantly, look up at the 30,000 crystals. Who is Preciosa Group & what makes their glass so special? The brand is rooted in the Czech Republic’s glassmaking tradition that dates back to the 16th century. Located in the historic region of Bohemia, Preciosa’s headquarters in the small town of Jablonec nad Nisou merely scratches the surface of its global impact, which encompasses 12 production sites and regional offices throughout Europe, North America, and Asia. More details on the chandelier's history and what theatergoers might expect here.
Are they actually gonna smash it every night? If not, I don't care how many crystals it is. I can go to a lighting store to be dazzled by a chandelier's crystals.
For those interested, the show is around 2 hours, and you will be occasionally sitting but mostly moving/standing the entire time.

I've been the most eager to find out how they're going to pull off everything involving the chandelier - what it will look like, if they're including the auction/overture sequence, how they'll manage the crash, etc.

I imagine it'd feel a lot less grand watching it in a room that is essentially a studio apartment and not like you're peering down on the stage of the opera house from the actual audience. I think that's what confuses me the most.
"DOWN ONCE MORE TO THE DUNGEON OF MY DARK DESPAIR!"
And like... you just walked into the next room as if you're watching the pre-show for a Disneyland Ride. These immersive experiences seem like they're better made for projects that are tailored made for something like this as opposed to retrofitting it and it just seeming silly...
