I'm going tonight, been a few years since I've been to an opening night but I'm really looking forward to it.

Anyone think this can win Best Revival and Leading Actress
Revival looks like it's going to Jitney (maybe Little Foxes), and it seems like Actress is going to Laurie Metcalf this year. So, no.

WHYYY Jitney??? It was so bland and not very exciting.

Because Jitney is by an important American Playwright who has been overlooked too often in the past
I don't think any play revival has a lock on their category in the way that Hello, Dolly! does for the musical side. There have been several good or very good play revivals this year, but I don't think there's one that is head and shoulders above the other.
I'm curious to read the reviews of this- I've heard differing opinions from friends I know who've seen it.
Well it just ended. I went into this knowing nothing about it. Personally I have nothing good to say about it. I can't remember the last time I disliked a show this much. The set was awful and halfway through there was barely even one. I'm glad it was 90 minutes.

The set bothers me, as well. It looks "off" somehow. It looks like Dario Argento designed it.

Really?"
That's my personal opinion. The college kids and the jokes were cringe worthy for me. I can get into it a bit more when I get home. I almost don't even want to bother because I really didn't enjoy it at all. This just wasn't for me.
Interesting that no one mentions that the real-life Paul, David Hampton, died alone of AIDS in 2003.

And once again Jeffrey just posts a bunch of links with no commentary. Anyone care to post those reviews the correct way?

If you are playing arbiter of the correct way™, perhaps you should.

I feel like there should be some sort of recourse for the emotional and physical pain inflicted on you by Jeffrey posting links to theater reviews.

I just feel like Jeffery should locate a brain cell since so many people say the same thing to him yet still he continues.
