Not sure what’s wrong with that? From a cast of 11 plus understudies, if 2 are formerly non-Equity and get this job from an open call, I’d say that’s a win. They were never going to cast the majority of the cast from a group of total unknowns. They also acknowledge in the article that they weren’t expecting the turnout they got. Whittling that group down to 100 to fold into the additional 100 appointments leaves a pretty good chance they’ll cast more than 2.
