IF Audra is out again tonight, I wonder if she gave the company enough notice to have her u/s learn the role.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
That's terrible, I hope she feels better quickly. That Jesse Green article made it seem like Audra is incredibly hard on herself (because no one else is). I hope she isn't beating herself up for this but I have a feeling she is.
I wonder if they might try and reschedule these two previews to next week when the show is supposed to be dark??

Are we completely sure that Audra's ill? That seems like a valid and plausible enough reason to call off a performance, and yet the statement is worded as vaguely as, "without any explanation for the last-minute change."
Well if she is or isn't, the show is cancelled. I fully expected this as I didn't expect she would be sick for one day. And if she has this cold/flu thing everyone seems to have, I would not be surprised if she is out again tomorrow.
I have tickets for tomorrow night (3/23). I have to be honest that I'm hoping it's cancelled. If Audra is sick enough to cancel the show for two days, I don't really want my Shuffle Along experience to be an under-the-weather Audra in an apparently unfinished show. (And... to not be selfish for a second, I hope she feels better soon! I had this flu thing that's been going around and it really sucked.)
How late in the day did folks get emails or calls from Telecharge about the cancellation? We are going to be on a train to NY Friday for the Friday evening performance, and I'm wondering at what point I'll need to make alternative plans.
Fairly certain that you'll have nothing to worry about on Friday. She has a cold (or so it seems) not leprosy.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
Hopefully it isn't this thing so many people have that just seems to hang on. I am 4 weeks in with it. Although I think It just doubled back on me as I felt fine for about 3 days and then it hit me in m head. Had it in my chest first. It is more annoying than anything.
Also, for some reason I was under the impression they had that dark week in April. According to the calendar on their website, it is next week.
Yeah, there are apparently several strains of viruses around at present that seem to be symptomatic for a week to 10 days (my wife is just recovering from one), so I'm not at all sanguine about Friday night. Life happens.
I heard they have been rehearsing her for 2 days. Not sure if that is true but I went to exchange my ticket today and they were about to start rehearsals. Evidentally the show will go up tonight. Don't think Audra will be on tonight. Box office told me Audra is sick.
Now they've just announced they're cancelling March 27-April 1 shows...sounds like they're going to make some major changes and this will give them time to get it performance ready again...could ultimately be very good for the success of the show...we'll see!
