It’s fine. The only issue will be the others in the queue. There is plenty of availability.
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
Everyone having difficulty seem to be using computer browsers. I used Google Chrome on my Samsung and had no trouble. I have a shortcut to https://at.theshed.org/program on my Home Screen. I got in and out several times today with no trouble. If you're buying as a member be sure you're logged in first. Easy to know. Hi <Your Name> should be in the top-right.

I'd guess the best $129 tix are HH and GG 101 and 201."
Yes, and I'm glad I got one of those today, because they'll be gone quickly tomorrow. Considering that the seats in DD-FF of those sections are all $229, they seemed underpriced, comparatively.

This is very helpful. Thank you. Now I just have to hope that I can get through tomorrow (work is likely to interfere), that seats are available during the limited window when I’m in New York City, and that dynamic pricing doesn’t cause too many problems.
But worst case, I supported the arts today, albeit in a very small way.
I've been struck by the number of people on this board who were very concerned that this might sellout even before the general onsale. Thus far, the reports all pretty much indicate that unless you're looking for the best prime seating center front orchestra, there is a good selection at most prices across the run. (As several people pointed out in previous posts, the likelihood is that lots of folks who became members at the higher membership levels are going to be looking to purchase those most expensive seats, not so much the low-end seating.)
But if you run the numbers, the chances of this being a sellout this week seem pretty low. Please check my math: There are 8 shows a week, with roughly 500 seats per show. That's 4,000 seats in a week. With an advertised 15 week run that translates into approximately 60,000 seats, which is roughly the equivalent of U2 selling out Madison Square Garden three times over.
Even for those of us who are ardent Sondheim fans, does it seem likely that a show that has never been seen or reviewed (or for that matter even finished by SS himself) is going to move that many seats in just a few days? Yes, I realize there are holdbacks, and the occasional week where they play less than 8 shows, but for those reasons even if you knock out 10,000 seats from the equation, that still leaves 50,000 seats up for grabs.
If today was any indication, it's entirely possible that the onsale tomorrow may be agonizingly slow, but I suspect that at the end of the day most people will be able to find tickets, even if they may have to compromise on their choice of dates and/or seating. Now having said that publicly, I'm sure that it will turn out to be the fastest sellout in NYC theater history....
Please look at your last seating chart with yellow and blue, Post #408. You show both Rows M & N in blue, excluding the far end seats. Row N should be all Yellow at $129.. That's what I was referring to. Your screen grabs are correct, your color highlights are not correct for the last row.
Yes it was a surprisingly easy process once you got in. I was on the Loading banner in Chrome for at least 20 minutes before I opened up Firefox and got in almost immediately (though I think I took too long to purchase since it kicked me back into the queue at some point). The fee is $5 per ticket, which isn't bad.
How much do we think this show will evolve during previews? I'm debating whether it would be worth it to snag another ticket during early previews to see how it changes

They charged you a $5 per ticket fee? I bought two tickets for $144 each and there were no fees added on at all--total cost on my credit card was $288.
TarHeelAlan, your detailed math really helped bring my anxiety level down on possibly getting a ticket for the show. That said, ANYTHING is possible. If I read correctly, didn’t the Almeida Theatre’s production of Streetcar completely sell out in like 2 hours when it was transferring to the West End?
The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince

Having got a ticket for Merrily for 27th September, I am in town for just a few days and will be trying to get tickets for one of the first few previews of this - I hope I can get tickets tomorrow! We'll see how it goes...I like the rush of seeing if I can get the ticket! After joining queues for Merrily and seeing the huge availability they still have I am hopeful...
I managed to get tickets for early November. I remain endlessly curious about what exactly this will be. I suspect (and hope) that the score will be more or less complete, but obviously without the tweaking Sondheim would have done during rehearsals and previews. He was self-admittedly a slow writer, but given how long he was working on it, I have to imagine there is plenty of material there for a full score, and I believe Mantello and Ives have the artistic integrity to have proceeded only if the show was in presentable shape. Tunick's involvement is even more encouraging in that regard. Still, I hope we get some kind of profile of the development of this show, including if/how it changed after Sondheim's death.
I suspect we will learn more about the shape of the show as it gets closer. I feel very comforted by Tunick's involvement, and especially by Alex Gemignani as the MD, he was the MD for the fiasco Merrily and the 2020 WSS revival while Sondheim was still alive. Also, he had key acting roles in the Sweeney 05 revival and Road Show at the Public. He's the perfect choice, and seems to be following in his father's footsteps. If I had to guess, Tunick and Gemignani are heavily involved in how the score is being presented.

A Shed Builder 2 membership or higher is supposed to have a benefits of “All handling fees waived,” so that may be why some people weren’t charged the $5 per ticket fee.
