I'll Cover You (Reprise).......Rent
Bring Him Home..........Les Miz
Epilouge(Finale)...........Les Miz
Down Once More...............Phantom of the Opera
I didn't take the time to read through all the responses, but "The Music Still Plays On" from A NEW BRAIN is the only song that has ever made me cry upon first listen. The lyrics are so raw and brutally honest that you can't help but be completely drained by the end.
Another Day from Rent
Out of Fashion from Taboo
Written in the Stars Aida
Why, Johnny Can't Decide from Tick tick BOOM
Most of Ragtime.
Stranger in This World, Taboo

Can't Help Falling in Love, All Shook Up
Near To You, Damn Yankees (90s revival version)
No One is Alone, Into the Woods
Sunday, Sunday in the Park...
People Like Us, Wild Party
This sounds slightly out of place, because Spelling Bee is light-hearted, for the most part but...
"The I Love You Song" is so completely heart-wrenching.
I'm Here-The Color Purple
Lot's Wife-Caroline, or Change
Rose's Turn-Gypsy

Upon seeing several Aida mentions in this thread -- I almost feel that if anything from Aida really touches me, it's I Know the Truth, not the more obvious choice of Written in the Stars. They're both wonderfully tragic songs, but the almost pathetic feeling surrounding the former gets to me a lot more than the sentiments expressed in Written in the Stars. It's obviously an entirely subjective matter, though.
The Letter and The Letter Reprise from Billy Elliot in London. Just listening to the song is so sad. Seeing it live is even worse. This song make you FEEL. But it is oh so wonderful.

I was just listening to "What I Did for Love" from ACL, and it almost made me cry. Especially when the ensemble joined it. So beautiful.
i agree with so many of the choices, but I must add "Only Love" from Scarlet Pimpernel and "Someone Like You"/"Once Upon a Dream" from Jekyll & Hyde and "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" from Phantom.
Here are mine:
On My Own from Les Miz
I'll Cover You from Rent
As Long As He Needs Me from Oliver
This is real easy for me:
Come to Your Senses (Spanger, Tick Tick Boom)
The Next 10 Minutes (Butz, Scott The Last 5 Years)
I'll Cover You Reprise (Martin, Rent)
For Good (Chenoweth,Menzel Wicked)
Fallen Angel (Young, Jersey Boys)
Thats all I can come up with for now.

"Life Is Just A Bowl Of Cherries" - FOSSE.
I just love those lyrics!!! So true.
"You'll Never Walk Alone" - CAROUSEL.
Same thing, fantastic lyrics and a great melody.
"The Phantom Of The Opera" - TPOTO.
The mood and the orchestration (theatrical orch.) are so amazing it catches my attention every single time no matter what I may be doing.
"Try To Remember" - THE FANTASTICKS.
Especially the Harry Belafonte's version of this song, it's almost HYPNOTIC!! Such a simple, calm and quiet and yet so captivating.

Priscilla Lopez so beautifully displays the subtleties of this song. Very touching.
madbrian, I second As Long As He Needs Me. Patti LuPone played Nancy in a VERY short-lived revival of OLIVER! in the 80s on Broadway, so they didn't make a cast recording. But I would love to hear her perform this song. This is one of those songs that requires such strong acting skills in addition to singing to really pull it off. Nancy is such a layered character, and this song can be stunning if the actress is really in touch with where Nancy is at this point in her life.
The I Love You Song from Spelling Bee. . . it doesn't relate to me at all but the harmonies and all are SO B-E-A-U-TIFUL the first time I heard it I cried :)
"I Am What I Am" -- La Cage Aux Follies
"Rose's Turn" -- Gypsy
"Fable" -- The Light in the Piazza
"Lot's Wife" -- Caroline or Change

I'd Do Anything from Oliver is a sweet song, along with Where is Love? Plus, Tarzan gets me every time. I'm Here from TCP is a joy.
What I did for Love is one of the sweetest, most committed songs I have ever heard.
The I Love You Song is pure joy and sadness.
Castle on a Cloud. Gorgeous.
Oh, and the first time I heard The Light in the Piazza, I cried.
And some others, but I won't bore you for too long (If you win you Lose from PJ Game, Rent songs...etc)
I don't even know if it is the orchestrations that make me so sad/happy/whatever. I think there is so much talent on Broadway now, their inputs, and inflections are just what makes it what it is.

"As Long As He Needs Me" from Oliver is really tragic and touching.
"Before the Parade Passes By" can be a very poingant song if you have the right Dolly.
