I kinda want to go to Caissie's benefit, win the walk-on role and give it to that kid. Maybe he could be Jeanie's child during the finale.
*plotz*
speaking of Caissie...idk if anyone has posted this on here, but here's a video of Caissie singing Dear Daddy and she completely rips it to shreds(in a good way). the riffing at the end if phenomenal.
EDIT: i forgot the link. whoopsies.

I forgot 3-5-0-0 and What a Piece of Work is Man. I always liked 3500, especially during the show. It was so passionate it was scary. I never liked WaPoWiM until I saw the show, because I never understood why it was relevant at that point. It seemed very displaced. But now it is definitely one of my favorites. It's also one of the things I like better about the new recording, how the "how dare they try" is slow and somber.
Has anyone done SRO lately, or know when the earliest people have been getting there has been? I did it a few weeks ago and was fine getting there after 9, but someone told me today the last tickets were gone by 7:30. Flukey day or has it really gotten that nuts?
I won the lotto today. I'd never won a lotto before, and I was completely flabbergasted my name was pulled. Gives me hope.
Paris was on for Claude, as well as a few other understudies (most notably Crissy and Mom). Paris was great, but no Gavin. Overall the show is in great shape.
7:30 for SRO?? I was going to go at 8:00 : /
Those video's af that kid are amazing. He knows so many words! Jeez, just unbelievable!
And that video of Caissie singing 'Dear Daddy' is the best version I've heard so far. It brought tears to my eyes. Usually I find riffing during such emotionals songs to be very disturbing. But not at all in this song when Caissie is doing it.

Thanks!!
And if you don't mind me asking Leia, how many spots are there for SRO?

I'm not sure, but I believe someone told me 12 per show... I think If I'm wrong, someone please correct me!
Caissie's Dear Daddy is stunning! Thanks so much for posting, Gerb!!
FYI for all teh fans of young little Claude lol There's now shorts vids of "Manchester, England" and "Hare Krishna"
Little Claude is such a cutie.... but now you can tell his mom just wants him to get some youtube fame with all these smaller videos.
I love Little Claude. Lets start a love thread just for him.
Separate topic from the adorable little boy: is Paris still on as Claude or is Jay taking over any time soon? And how is Gavin's ankle healing?

Cassie sounds much better in clips than she does on the cast recording. I'm looking forward to seeing her live (And if Jackie is on for her, I wouldn't mind either).
I was wondering that, too. Why is Paris only covering Claude now?? Is Jay on vacation?? I have to wonder with 4 injuries(although Gaving should be back soon) if they plan on bringing in more swings??
I was lucky enough to get SRO Wed. night and five out of the seven swings were on, including all of the female swings.
The u/s list for Wednesday was:
Briana for Crissy
Paris for Claude
Allison Guinn for Mother/Buddahdalirama
Hannah for Lauren's track
Matt for Paris' track
Micheal for Anthony's track
Chasten for Allison Guinn's track
With Allison Case, Lauren & Anthony out for a while, it would seem likely that they'll bring in more swings(one male, one female), especially if some cast members have vacations coming up. Any why is Krystal Joy Brown listed as if she's covering Saycon's part when Saycon isn't returning to the show(at least not anytime soon)??
I have a possibly really stupid question but like what exactly is a swing? Just somebody who covers for other people in the ensemble?

It's because Jay is covering someone else's track in the tribe, I believe. Anthony Hollock is out because of an injury and John Moauro is out too I think
In musical theater, the term swing is often used to refer to a member of the company who understudies several chorus and/or dancing roles. If an understudy fills in for a lead role, a swinger will act the parts normally performed by the understudy.

I'm going to get SRO tomorrow, but I really don't know what time to get there. I had thought 9, which I was told was okay, but now I'm seeing stuff about 7:30? I don't want to wake up early and not get tickets, but I also don't want to get up at the crack of dawn if I don't need to. Plus, people keep saying on weekdays it's not that crazy, but tomorrow is Friday, so I'm kind of torn.
I haven't really done it, but from what I have heard...getting there around 8:00 is a good time. I am going to try to get SRO on Saturday. I'm excited!
I wonder if Hair follows the rule that if an understudy goes on a certain number of times in a row, they are supposed to get promoted to the principal track. *Hoping I didn't just make that up in my sleepy haze*
I want Andrew's vacay to come up soon so I can see Michael as Margaret. That and Steel!Berger would satisfy my u/s and swing wishes for Hair.
