Alice Ripley is amazingly talented but come on.... Audra is Broadway Royalty. She has won four Tony Awards!
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

I love Alice so much and think she is giving one of the best performances I have ever seen, but this one belongs to Audra.

JazzSquare, people are entitled to their opinions. Audra is clearly going to win, so why does it matter to you. I already explained why I voted for Alice. Not that anyone should have to explain votes anyway.

"people are entitled to their opinions"
I respect that but we're talking about Audra McDonald here.
There's no comparison, between the two. Sorry.

If people voted for Alice, it doesn't necessarily mean they dislike Audra. I love Audra from what I've seen and would love to see her perform live. Since I have seen Alice perform live and she gave by far the best performance I've ever seen, she got my vote.
