Previews begin October 7th. Opening November 9th.
Very excited to see this. I hope this doesn't go the way of THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS.

I can't wait to see this, I love David Yazbek's music.
Yaaaay!!! Still waiting for Hadestown though.
Loved this beautiful, well-crafted and touching show Off-Broadway! I hope that they bring back the full Off-Broadway cast including Shalhoub and Katrina Lenk. Their chemistry was breathtaking.
Where can we buy tickets? The BWW article says tickets are now on sale, but I cannot find a place to buy them for the life of me!
Edit: Never mind, I found them on telecharge. They didn't make it easy tho!

Wonderful news! Can't wait to see this beautiful show again. Best musical of the year, hands down.
Thrilled about this news!

Agreed, at the very least those two need to come to Broadway with the show, but I'd love to see the whole cast transfer.
This is terrific news! I loved The Band's Visit at the Atlantic and I'm glad more people will get to see this beautiful, delicate musical.
Katrina Lenk was giving an absolute star turn and I can't wait to see her do it again.
YES! This was absolutely sensational, the performances, set, score, and story was beautiful & powerful. I am so glad they are transferring, and hope they can maintain some of that intimacy that was captured at the Atlantic. I also really hope that they get a cast recording.
The original cast should absolutely return, they were all sensational. Katrina Lenk for the Tony! Though of course it is not even time to make guesses.
Very exciting. I truly wish it the best as it's such a lovely show more people need to experience.
I heard from someone close to the production that Lenk and Shaloub are both good to go. I hope it's true.

Thanks for sharing! I certainly hope it's true, too.
Hooray, as I missed this!
Since it's my last name as well, please remember it's ShalHoub.

Saw it in December and thought it was excellent. I do hope they get to rewrite the Arabic dialogue to Egyptian Arabic-- I would imagine they can get away with it in a small house, but they need to be a bit more astute and accurate on Broadway.
I hope I get to see it. I'm always excited for a new Yazbek score (I even went to see Women on the Verge on Broadway and the West End) and the response from this show has been terrific.

This is wonderful news. Any coupons for early previews?
Yay! David Cromer will be back on the great white way. Maybe he'll finally have a hit.
Beautiful show! I wonder if they'll expand it a bit design wise for Broadway? It felt cramped at the Atlantic. But I loved the use of the space.
According to The New York Times:
In an interview, Mr. Cromer said he doesn’t anticipate that the footprint of the show will change much on a bigger stage.
“We have wing space suddenly, so there are more interesting ways for things to arrive onstage than at the Atlantic,” he said. “It’s going to change the flow. Our first mandate is to not mess things up.”

Perfect! I think it was beautifully designed, I just want them to open it up a bit so it feels less like a big box. Which it sounds like they will. I wanted more of a sense of desolation.
I told a good friend of mine about this. He and I both saw Come From Away together, he said maybe they should call this "Come From Oy Vey!"

Band's Visit is far better written than Come From Away.
Lol. The Band's Visit is far superior to Come From Away in nearly every possible way.
