Another play about LBJ by Robert Schenkkan (which will serve as a companion piece to All The Way). While I'm not exactly ecstatic about seeing another LBJ play, this is an amazing cast. Richard Thomas is an underrated treasure, and I'm excited to see Brian Cox onstage for the first time.
This will be a 12-week limited engagement, which means that if the rumors are accurate, Lehman Trilogy might still be on track to come into the Beaumont in the Spring.
What a great season for Kudisch between this and GIRL FROM THE NORTH COUNTRY.
"Oh look at the time, three more intelligent plays just closed and THE ADDAMS FAMILY made another million dollars" -Jackie Hoffman, Broadway.com Audience Awards
Just a reminder that this is a commercial production renting out the Beaumont (no Lincoln Center involvement) so there probably won’t be LincTix available :/
According to the New York Times announcement LCT is being credited as a co-producer and members will have early access to tickets, so I wouldn't say that LincTix are out of the realm of possibility either. Does anyone remember if they were available for Ann, since this is a similar situation?

I saw this in a production in Sarasota a couple of years ago. It is a good play, but it is not as good as All The Way, so set expectations. Particularly without Cranston (although Cox is an excellent actor, he is not going to sell tickets), I think a limited engagement at LCT was a very smart move.
There's only one Brian C who could ever make me sit through another of Schenkkan's LBJ plays, and he spells his name Bryan. I would not worry about LincTix, there should be plenty of cheap and free tickets available for this.
Is anyone else having trouble accessing LincTix? I tried for this, Mockingbird and The Sound Inside this morning and I am getting error messages all around.
Im having major issues with this site as well. Anyone else having trouble? I can select a date and nothing happens afterwards. Ugh. Also, where are the seats? Not sure how LinTix works exactly but I do hope this isn't a sell out on LincTix
EDIT: Also, sorry if this is a dumb question, I know the playwright is the same as All The Way, which was also about LBJ, so is this show an expansion on that play? Or is this a brand new show on its own? Some of the press and the email from LincTix just has me confused on that for some reason. I don't want to google either so I don't know much about events during the play. Thanks!

The Great Society is a sequel to All the Way- ATW was about LBJ's first year in office (63-64 after JFK died). TGS is about LBJ's full term as president (64-68).

There's also an HBO All the Way movie with Cranston.
