Nice but without any originality.
I would say that I enjoyed this film even if it is definitely not my favorite genre. The construction and development of the actions are logical and perfectly on time."

It's another fake AI account
I saw this a couple of weeks ago (before Mia was out) and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it!
I was going more for the two women (both great, Mia giving a truly excellent, nuanced performance), but I thought the play itself was very funny and I was genuinely moved in many moments. The characters had a lot more depth to them than I had anticipated (especially after reading some of the reviews on here) and it was a happy surprise to find myself really rooting for them.

I don't know the best place to put this, but if anyone hasn't watched Aubrey Plaza's interview with Seth Meyers talking about her time living with Patti, you should. It's hilarious.

This afternoon was cancelled.
One of the actresses has “taken ill”
They announced it at 12:45 when we were already in

I asked the same damn question. Apparently, from my intel, it’s Patti’s turn to take ill.

A FOH staff member confirmed it was Patti. Why have an understudy and not use them?
Guess I won’t be seeing this show, because I’m not doing this again
I was also told that tonight is scheduled to proceed as normal, but whether that means they’re going to hustle the standby through Patti’s track or pull Marsha down from Connecticut is anybody’s guess
Judging by the fact that tonight is now off sale on Telecharge, it is also presumably cancelled.

That's too bad that Patti got Covid on the same day that Sunset Boulevard is starting previews around the corner.

Gotta love waiting until it's too late for people to pivot and see a different show. 🙄

There are more shows with Saturday matinees at 2 than at 1. The Roommate is one of the early ones. There was time for those who wanted to find another show to do so.

Because she’s an UNO
understudy in name only

Indeed. I went over to SUFFS and immediately snatched a rush ticket. It did crimp my timing a bit getting downtown for a 5pm (I hopped into a waiting Lyft IMMEDIATELY after that last blackout). It appears a bunch of other people did the same.
Also, looks like that today has been cancelled as it has been removed from Telecharge as well

its incredibly unprofessional and insulting that this production has zero contingency plan for its (senior citizen) actors missing shows. they deserve to lose all the money they are currently losing.

This is absolutely ridiculous that they aren't letting Carol Halstead go on.
I'm probably one of a small dozen people who would have gone back to this production just for her. The fact that she's only been hired as a formality...

Tbf— with Wagner Johnson doing management, the lack of communication is egregious from the production. Harper is London based these days I think and Nugent is pushing 86… so these decisions are only made as quickly as they can be by LPs. That being said, WJP really should be more transparent. It’s crazy this is happening a second time with less communication to ticket holders.

What a joke that they won't let Halstead go on. They'd rather cancel performances than have her go on. How insulting.
