Does anyone happen to know what happened to Telsey and Co Casting? Their website and all social media have been deleted and it's a bit weird.

When I google searched them, there’s preview text saying something about racial injustice and then taking responsibility for their actions... but there’s only a small blurb then you click and their website was taken down.
anyone have any info on what went down?? They’re like the biggest casting group in the biz.

That was from mid-2020, when such statements where the trend du jour.

How does this happen? Mismanagement? A maneuver to get out of a sticky situation? I mean, they cast everything.

@TroyNow do you have any additional info or source you can share? There's no record in bankruptcy court of them filing.

If that's true that is absolutely insane. Reflecting the same sentiments as Thelosertakesitall, I know everything is totally in shambles right now but how does this even happen? They have such a massive clientele base. Don't they operate in LA too?

Posted: 1/17/21 at 5:01pmI think it just means they aren’t going to deal with paying the rent and all the bills and will just come back as a diff company?

It's probably a good idea to shake up the monopoly anyway, right?

Yes, it's sad to see them go, but I'm excited about the change this brings to an industry that thrives off of oppression. Hopeful!

The Telsey office space is for rent. Which isn't surprising, some producers, GM's, press agents etc have moved out of their offices during the shutdown to save money. Telsey also got a PPP loan of between $350k and $1M. I could see them filing chapter 11 bankruptcy to get out of that lease.

I’ve also heard rumors that Telsey, as well as other various companies in the industry, were planning on filing bankruptcy and re-emerging after the industry restarts.
Telsey surprises me, as they have a lot of film and television work.

Any insight about who that "damn good name " may be? A Broadway name or a movie name?
