Just spoke to her at the stage door and she confirmed she was going to L.A. with the show. I asked her if anyone else from this cast was and she said yes but couldn't say who...
i would think most of the ensemble would transfer, too, unless they have something better booked after Jan. 22.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
My guess is they try to keep as many people together as possible - to make things easier - but I imagine Paige will have to go back to England? Yes/No?
I was at the stage-door too. Terri told us that she was really excited about the prospect, but she emphasized that no offers had been made. Jordan, did you see the crazy middle aged woman who was trying to show Bernadette a kitten? It was the strangest sight.
I mean, it's only a 6 week run in sunny California which would get them out of New York during the dead of winter...

Rumor has it that Bernadette IS going to LA, but Danny, Jan and Elaine are not (I don't know why Elaine isn't; for Danny and Jan it may well be that they don't want to leave their children for so long...I seem to remember Jan was hesitant to even go to DC for that reason, and LA is a lot further than DC)
But yeah, this is what my source is telling me. It may be accurate, it may not be accurate. It's a reliable source, but things change...
"I chose and my world was shaken--so what? The choice may have been mistaken, the choosing was not. You have to move on"
Danny and Jan both have young(ish) kids and families in the NY area, and their kids will only be around so long. Elaine has said in interviews that she does miss London (and she has a man in the UK); there could also be visa/AEA issues. I doubt Don Correia will go, he is a highly successful realtor in Connecticut where he still practices. Ron Raines is doing Sweeney Todd with Karen Ziemba in May/June at Opera St. Louis. Some people may have other gigs lined up, and some may just be tired of doing Follies - they started rehearsals in March in DC and then essentially went into NY rehearsals ~3 weeks after the DC run so it'll be ~10 months of Follies by the time the Broadway production closes. And then 4 weeks or so of rehearsals in California.
I wonder if they will try to get some bigger West Coast/Hollywood "names" for some of these roles?

Lesley Ann Warren just starred in NEXT FALL at CTG to good reviews; I throw her name into the mix again as a potential Phyllis or Carlotta replacement if Maxwell chooses to stay in the city.
As most everyone knows, Kim Cattrall was one of the (many) women in the mix for Phyllis in this production before they ultimately went to Jan Maxwell. Given that her limited run in PRIVATE LIVES will be over by the time the show goes to Los Angeles, I'd love to see her come back into the picture again. I maintain that she'd be absolutely fantastic.
There's also Vanessa Williams, who was Eric Schaeffer and the team's first choice from the very inception of this production. She's now living in L.A. part time finishing up Desperate Housewives, so I wouldn't be surprised if she also comes up as a replacement candidate if Maxwell indeed declines the opportunity to transfer (though she may want to head back to New York for similar family reasons.)
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
Michael B: I was Lesley's dresser/wig person for 'Next Fall', and I was texting her all morning that she needs to do it!!! SHe was saying her next show needs to be a musical...

Everytime I read this title I see Terri sneaking into Maxie's dressing room, snatching her huge empty TONY bag, throwing the set, all the costumes and the FOLLIES girls in and jumpin' on a red eye to LA.
Bernadette is the only person who really needs to transfer. None of those others, regardless of how amazing they are, sell tickets.

Probably some of the ensemble will transfer. I know Kiira Scmidt has already book Anything Goes replacing Kristen Beth Williams (going into Nice Work) as ensemble and Reno Sweeney understudy. The Star Trek suit is understudying Whoopi's hat in Funny Girl in LA, so it's transfering, too.
