Surprised Six took costumes over Diana or Music Man.

They have to get book at this point.

Orchestrations to GFNC. We're all over the place.

Is it surprising, though? I thought Six would win score, but I still think A Strange Loop will win Best Musical. I had also picked it for lighting, but the design awards were never its strong categories anyway.

MJ is kicking ass so far. May not win Best Musical but it may gather the most awards this year.

This is definitely surprising right now! I am happy SIX won Best Score and Costumes! Just PRAYING Marianne Elliott wins Director and Matt and Patti win for Company!

The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince

It is uncommon. But we live in unsual times.

Sorry, I was responding to those who were saying that ASL should be concerned.

This opening is a disaster. And why are there so many many empty seats?

I don’t think A Strange Loop was favored to win any of the Act One awards. Maybe Best Score if anything. I think it’s still going to win Best Musical.

Enjoyed the opening number but was hoping for something bigger.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I liked the opening. DeBose did great. I'd kill to have even half of her energy, never mind her talent. laugh

It wasn't really impressive and yeah, no one was really around Lin. Bizarre.

Jesus, that was too close on Hugh's face. Looks like he could use a break ASAP.

We really are in a post Scott Rudin world. He never would have allowed TMM to perform 76 Trombones at the Tony's because he was a dick like that.

I agree –– and it would be a pretty awful night, saleswise, if ASL ended the night with just a win for Book (or even just wins for Book and Actor).

Though Conor McPherson COULD win Book...he devised a wholly new story for GFTNC. I don't think that will happen, but he'd be my runner-up prediction.
