I watch MTV alot and I just saw the first preview for "The American Mall" why are they waiting till the last minute to advertise when this thing airs tommorow?
Haha, I thought Rob Mayes was Gavin Creel in the commercial I saw playing at a six flags by me.
edit: And Yassmin Alers is in it!
edit 2: And so is Neil Haskell!!! My love!
edit 3: and it's a musical! I had no clue!

I saw the movie and it is great. I think it would have been better, though, if the whole thing wasn't in the mall. It was, in my own opinion, a mixed version of “Camp Rock” and “HSM” at a mall. That’s a good thing, though. The only song I think had bad vocals was Autumn Reeser’s “The New You”. I liked the rest of the songs and I felt there could’ve been more songs!! This movie left me thinking… sequel? I felt that the opening number “Every 10 Seconds” was the movie’s version of “Greased Lightning”. It was all set up like it and everything which was really cool! The soundtrack cover also reminds me of “Grease” when I see Ally and Joey (main characters) on the top. The songs are great and I love how they are played out on screen. My favorite songs are “Survivor”, “A Little Bit of Heart Somewhere”, “Sorry’s Not Enough”… basically all of the songs. lol. This was great and I hope there is a sequel planned!
The soundtrack and DVD of the movie come out on Tuesday and the movie airs tomorrow at 9/8c on MTV.
I don't know on TV but in NYC you couldn't get away from the ads plastered on just about every bus that drove by.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
I only saw one ad on TV, and a couple of ads in mgazines, and ALOT of web ads. I didn't think they would do it on a bus. They may have did it for Search for Elle Woods, but I didn't think they'd do it for TAM.
I can't count the number of ads I saw for this in the subway.

I must have seen this commercial a thousand times while I was in line for the Dark Knight Coaster at Six Flags. It looks kind of like a more mature High School Musical. For the record, the ride sucked.
Is this supposed to be on the Bway board? I'm not complaining, I myself didn't start a thread about it here thinking there was one already in the Off-Topic section, I could be wrong...
Glinda, that's when saw it too! And the ride was one of the worst I have been on. The beginning intro gets you into thinking it will be great, but I've seen kiddie coasters better than the Dark Knight ride itself.
sorry to threadjack.

the best part of this movie was when Neil was duct taped to the wall. I somewhat agree with the above statement. I just logged on to see what people on here were saying about this show. It has been hyped to the extreme. Singing even in commercials. Oh well, Sears I think is paying for most of this show. Oh well it is to cash in on the High School Musical crowd.
I finally sat through this show which could be if you really need patience to see. It seems, and I may be mistakened, Mtv cut the ending of some of the songs to go directly to a commercial. Some of these commercials were similar to the songs in the movie, which, I suppose, was done on purpose. This was such an almost laughable clone of Camp Rock and High School Musical and who knows what else. I am sure the Camp Rock crowd may love it and buy the dvd and soundtrack, but I think I will recline. ABC Family's tv show "The Middleman" which is showing now is much more entertaining.
