Wasn't JCM saying that line about returning to doing more theater in general toward the end of his run, in several interviews, and not about Hedwig specifically?

This exchange I did not personally witness. However, the source is beyond reliable.
That quote was his response to her asking "will you come back", so I couldn't imagine he was only referring to acting in general.

I don't think we'll heard anything until September. Also, maybe if Diggs' advance sales for Sept & Oct aren't good, they might considering closing the show.

The show has consistently released casting information a little under two months before each new Hedwig's debut. I will be shocked if news doesn't come out this week.

This may be way off, but I don't think it will close. There are too many things happening on Broadway right now that I think they will at least get one more run out of Hedwig.

I don't want this show to close either, simply because I'm having a lot of fun anticipating who will be the next Hedwigs. Glenn Howertown would be a terrific choice, imo.

Seriously? There is a 0% chance of Rebecca being fired. She's been getting great reviews within Taye's not so great reviews. And she really is a fantastic Yitzhak.

Rebecca is truly wonderful.
As a huge Sunny fan I would be interested in seeing Glenn as Hedwig but I'd be surprised if they didn't cast a bigger name.

Lena has left the show and has moved on to new things, she's in Stephen's new show.

One of the Hedwig techs texted me that he thinks the announcement will be sometime this week.
