alicia tried lotto tonight (thur), I would say there was upwards of 75-80 people there, didn't win, but they offered rear orch seats for $56 (half price)
So after work tonight I decided to walk by the theatre and check out the u/s board, just for kicks, since yesterday's board was so amazing, and see if anyone was on tonight. And I saw tonight's board. And bought a ticket.
Brilliant- first of all, I got a kick out of the fact that Krysta resembles Priscilla a bit. Loved her acting choices, doing all these little things making the role her own (lifting Robin's chin and 'checking out' the goatee, this thing with her tongue towards Chris during The Club, etc.)- she was very much a 19 year old college freshman. Very belty "Breathe." Nice chemistry with Chris; very fun "No Me Diga" with Andrea, Janet and Karen.
That is so awesome! though i kind of hate those of you who got to see it lol

Yeah, there were a lot of people at the lotto tonight and we didn't win. We ended up rushing for a different show. This lotto and me just do not get along. Glad to hear Krysta was great as Nina though!
I did the same thing Anakela did. I actually had a lotto ticket for Rent, which my mom went to instead of me, while I went to In the Heights.
Krysta's Nina was unbelievable. Her acting was the best I've ever seen. The scene right before Inutil was so on point, it was incredibly gorgeous. I liked her better than Mandy. Although Mandy can sing her butt off, Krysta's acting was so amazing. I stil want to see Janet's Nina!
I got my CD! I practically tackled the mail man!! SOooooooo amazing!

I'm hoping I get it tomorrow or maybe I got it today... I'm in the city so I don't know if arrived or not! I'm hoping it did but it probably didn't, but it will definitely get there tomorrow.
OK...not sure who to direct this to, but SOMEONE owes me a new t-shirt. I have been listening to the OBCR of "In The Heights" and it's so incredibly good that it makes me 'happy as a little girl.' Now there are two distinct holes in my shirt.
I don't know for sure yet, but I think this is the almost the best cast recordings I've ever heard.
Broadway Shows I've Seen: Hairspray, Chicago, Little Shop of Horrors (2003), The Wedding Singer, Spamalot, Riverdance, Rent, Beauty and the Beast, Spring Awakening, Wicked, Legally Blonde, Phantom of the Opera, Sweet Charity (revival), Drowsy Chaperone, The Lion King, Dreamgirls(2010 Tour).
