Hopefully I'll get into Conan tonight. Giving it a good shot on standby.
Miss Lizzy - any tips on how you got your miracle ticket?

Hey Theresa...there is no real "tip" to give...I had called NBC asking a question about the taping, got into a conversation, and by the end, had an offer of a ticket to the taping.
Really that simple.
Can't really express how grateful I am though...
*sending terrific hope-the-stand-bys-get-in vibes* to each and every one outside 30 Rock this morning...also looking forward to perhaps meeting some of you guys at the 10pm ROA performance tonight!

Good morning, everyone! Hope everyone on this thread has had a chance to view the terrific appearance the cast of "Rock of Ages" made on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" last night (go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUWQS2l-yCI to watch it).
There is an event on Tuesday night at Theater District restaurant B. Smiths that will be a fundraiser and a chance to celebrate the hottest new show off-Broadway...
Don't Miss This Rockin' Event--One Night Only!/
What:The NEW YORK EXPERIENCE Launch Party ROCK OF AGES PARTY
When: TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 18 at 7PM
Where: B. SMITH'S | 320 W. 46th Street
Why: You get to drink specialty cocktails (never a bad thing), meet other 80s rock fans (also good), listen to songs from your favorite musical (always GREAT) and do a good deed at the same time.
Huh? There's no cover charge and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Cool, right?

Lauren Molina was out today and Lara Janine was in.
Lauren sounded a bit hoarse on Conan O'Brien last night.

Actually, Rena, I was at the 10pm last night and Lauren was in.
Kelli ("Sherrie"), however, was out at the 10pm and Savannah Wise was in for her. (Jackie Burns then played Savannah's usual roles)

The event runs from 6:30-10p. Since most theaters have an early curtain on Tuesdays, you might have time to stop by afterwards...
Hope to see you there, Mistress!

Yesterday, during the show, the fire alarm went off. The building was evacuated for about an hour. It was a false alarm.
I wondered if they were singing Pyromania on the way out the door.
People stood around and took pictures with the cast and some went off to Starbucks to keep warm.
Once back inside, Will and Adam took questions from the audience till it was time to resume.
I don't know at which point in the play this happened.
Wow.

I was told this all happened right before the start of Act II (which makes me hopeful that "Drew" was not in his "Final Countdown" costume...frostbite can be painful! LOL).
And let's also hope they heeded the "Pyromania" pre-show announcement.
To anyone who was there...what Q&A's were posed to Adam and Will? Cast album? Move to Broadway? Will's potential transfer to the "Hair" revival opening in February?

>>>To anyone who was there
We decided not to sing Def Leppard on the way out-
lol
Will was asked about HAIR- He gave a professional- We'll see- answer.
Cast recording was my question- let's keep our fingers crossed.
Will was asked to take disrobe- he was willing if we went first. :)

What is with this show and the audience disrobing!?!??!!? LOLOL
Pre-show announcements - the "camera exception"
Act 1 - Lonny's psychic vision
And now Will's challenge to us to take it off first...
*tongue firmly in cheek through this entire post*
I love it...Cheeky b*stards!

Morning, rockers!
Last night at ROA saw a terrifically rockin' celebrity sighting...
Kevin Cronin, lead singer of REO Sppedwagon was in the house!!! Of course, that made a couple of songs in Act II a little funnier for me, personally...I haven't laughed that hard in a while, wondering what could have possibly been going on in his head during the two REO numbers...
Photos of his visit should be up on BWW later today, if my sources are correct!
And just a reminder about tonight's event at B. Smith's...

I bet Kevin was laughing his butt off while Dennia and Lonny sing I Can't Fight This Feeling. It's one of if not the funniest parts of the show.
srtfan, we could live in my car. The price of gas has gone down and I could run the heater. We could keep moving from one side of the street to the other. lol

Constantine is going to do a one off show on Tuesday, December 23rd at Joe's Pub. Since it's the dark day for ROA, I bet the cast might show up.
He said he's going to do some new music. Yay!

Morning, rockers!
Here's the link to buy tickets for Constantine's show at Joe's Pub:
http://tickets.publictheater.org/calendar/view.asp?id=7812
The B. Smith's party last night was a nice, low-key affair...great fundraising raffle to benefit the American Cancer Society, 80's videos playing on all the TVs, yummy hors d'oeuvres, and songs represented in ROA blasting through the restaurant!
Cast member Jeremy Woodard (Ensemble, but most of ya'll will recognize him best as "Joey Primo") was in attendance along with the show's choreographer Kelly Devine (spoke to her briefly about the terrific job she did adapting the 'Here I Go Again' choreography for Conan and she said that they'd only had ONE rehearsal and just nailed it...now THAT is a sign of a tightly knit, highly skilled cast. That ability to (REO pun intended) 'roll with the changes' and make it seem effortless.
Well, back to work for me...
ROCK ON!
