Thank you Ms. Noll. Best vocal performance of the nite by a mile.
Ragtime was by far the favorite of the shows I saw this season.

Ragtime had the best showing thus far hands down.
Viola Davis looks stunning.

CZJ was pretty rough, as she was this morning. I saw ALNM this November and she wasn't brilliant, but she was MUCH better than today's performances. Since when do you need a pause between "losing my timing this late in my" and "career".....really.....
taking unnecessary breaths is NOT an acting choice. Neither is moving your head side to side five times in a single line.

Posted: 6/13/10 at 9:34pmI think "Send in the Clowns" works best in context of the scene. It's unfortunate that they only did an abridged version of the song.

Posted: 6/13/10 at 9:36pmChristine sounded great. Why did Ragtime's performance feel so short compared to the other shows?

Tony performances of Sondheim's shows recently are always far worse than those you watch in theatre. You cannot do a medley, and you cannot do it without playing out the whole scene. They should do "A Weekend in the Country" instead imo.

"Miss Jones wasn't at rehearsal, I thought.... "
Shame on her then, especially when she knew she was going to do it in Radio City Hall.

"There have been many events at Radio City broadcast on television, including every single Tony Awards telecast since 200(3?). Only this and last year have problems with the sound occurred (with the exception of possibly one or two tiny instances I may not be remembering).
I would LOVE an explanation of what the issues are. Apparently everyone in-house can hear fine and don't notice anything (not difficult in that large venue. You can whisper and it would echo everywhere!). "
i know...make a thread about it.
I understand your frustration honestly, but I don't think it is all the sound guy...er...team.
