It's so nice to see Saycon Sengbloh in anything other than Wicked.
Reminder to self. Thank my friend Jeffrey for refusing to buy tickets to Fela.
I still don't get Fela or as the TONYS Facebook called it earlier Flea.
Bathroom break!
i refrain from saying anything about Fela's performance for fear of being called racist.
Fela! is like watching Lion King's non-Disney sequel.

This ceremony is as bad as this season.
CZJ certainly didn't perform like that back in January.
What was up with that?!?!?!?
Great job Christiane Noll!!!! You made all Ragtime fans proud!
Again, no love no hate to FELA! Simply not my taste.
I didn't enjoy Fela. I sort of zoned out.
they are treating Matthew & Lea like the second coming.

Wouldn't have mattered what part of Fela! they would have performed. What you just saw is the entire show repeated for 2 hours ad nauseum.
OK. This entire thing needs to end already. I am pretty miserable tonight. I need a new season.
Poor Jsn Maxwell! I really thought she had it for the "featured actress" category.
And was it me or did Scarlett Johansen give s REALLY long speech and not get rushed? It was like "if we are going to give the movie star an award, then keep her onstage as long as we can!"
"OKAY! We get it! Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison will be performing! ARG!"
Trying to keep the new viewers sucked in with all the teases.
I seriously turned down the volume during the FELA performance. Not my taste, I guess...
"And Best Actor in Play "to Grace Us with Their Presence on a Broadway Stage this year" goes to...
"
Give me a break. he has never missed. he has been to every pre-Tony event. He deserved the award.

FELA wins for best performance.
Yay for Viola and Denzel-- Her acceptance speech was really touching !
I would have been ok with Molina winning as well- Brilliant in "Red"-
I don't think so Yankee.

Can anyone tell me the name of the older actress who was sitting two rows behind Denzel?
Her name escapes me at the moment.
So far, NONE of the performance satisfies me.
What was that
