This show is all about celebrating Broadway... from the die-hards to the casual fans. Smart decision to weave some established, recognizable characters into the mix.

Gabe winning means that either
A) Matilda will sweep
B) Matilda will not sweep
C) Matilda will win a few awards

Ebert's win hardly indicates a MATILDA sweep. In fact, I'd say KINKY's wins at this point indicate that the scales seem to be tilting in their favor so far.
This is a cute performance!

Posted: 6/9/13 at 8:39pmI'm surprised by the number of people who were unfamiliar with the music from Bring It On. I like the song, but the number performed on the awards wasn't staged as well as it was in the actual show.

Posted: 6/9/13 at 8:41pmAmen hushpuppy! Leave it to the legends of Broadway's Golden Age to just give us a beautiful song where the emphasis is on the beautiful mix of lyrics and voice and not what has become common practice today. Magnificent.

Posted: 6/9/13 at 8:42pmCBS must have used a new production crew this year. Everything about the broadcast has been better than the past few years so far.
