Wow, actually I never thought of this, but that would make a great musical I think...well an entertaning one anyway...

The Parent Trap is a wonderful idea for a musical!

But PLEASE, for the love of all that's holy in this world, stick to the original movie's time period.

Please, please, PLEASE do not use the Olsen twins! I am sure that there are sets of twins everywhere that would LOVE to make their Broadway debut. re: The Parent Trap

It would make a nice idea for a musical. In addition to the Parents and Children. There can be the Mother's Parents and Bulter, the Dad's Maid and Ranch-hand. And of course, Vicki(and her mother)!

As for the twins......I think it would be too hard to get real twins, though possible. So I can design them a look with wigs and makeup to make them look the same!

Am I the only one who thinks this is a terrible idea? It's a great movie, don't get me wrong I've seen it many times but as a musical? nah, don't think so! I might be able to change my mind but as for now I don't see it

The Olsen twins easily could look 10 if we saw them without their trendy clothes, make-up and hair.

I have always LOVED the parent trap. Its one of my favorite Disney movies. I think it would be very interseting to see the movie adapted into a stage form.

I actually liked the new Parent Trap...it's one of my guilty pleasures. Has anyone ever seen Parent Trap II? Not as good. And I also read about a Parent Trap III w/ Tori from Saved By the Bell but I never saw it.

i love both the new and old Parent Trap movies. I think a musical version would be great. or, maybe just as a play. and I do believe it has to be done with a set of twins.

You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree.

I think it would work, with the right creative team, obviously. I also really love the re-make.

I love the original with Haley Mills! It was one of my favorite movies as a child. I didn't care too much for the Lindsay Lohan remake. I've also seen the two sequels. I don't really remember the third one, though. It was about triplets, but they were related to Haley Mills somehow. Stepdaughters or something? I do know that they were played by actual triplets. In fact, one of them ended up joining the cast of SAVED BY THE BELL in its final season(s), after Jessie and Kelly departed. But back to the original topic, count me as one of those who thinks this would make a great stage musical. I have to agree with Mother's Young Brother: stick to the original time period, ala HAIRSPRAY!
