"The costume in question (or at least, I think it is?) is certainly not ugly at all. Nor garish. It actually is quite lovely on Murphy."
Doubtless the "controversy" over the dress is another one of those pointless rumors with a nameless, unattributable source that had no basis in reality.
As the Public Theater recently tweeted, talking about the standby line, "One can never say for sure, but it's always an option." That sounds like a message you'd get from a magic 8 ball.
"Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s beloved musical INTO THE WOODS, the second show of The Public’s 50th Anniversary season at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park, will run for five weeks through Saturday, August 25, with an official press opening on Thursday, August 9."
Walked by during Murphy's witch's rap - sounded flawless, and at a slower tempo than either of the recordings. It was kind of nice to be able to truly make out each vegetable in the garden, and impressive she could carry the phrase that much longer!

Hmmm. Does it still sound like a rap though? Out of three Witch's on recording, Bernadette is only one who actually sounds like she's rapping.
