I was wondering about this though...I was thinking that maybe their contracts said they couldn't audition for anything or take a job until the show airs where they get kicked off. I mean a reading is different, but other jobs (other shows or tours) would obviously mean they didn't get the part of Elle.

people appear in readings while they are in other shows all the time. I don't think that necessarily means anything about her winning.

Matt Cavenaugh it seems is always in a reading and he's in a show most of the time too.

in case anyone is interested, lauren's facebook status is 'on a plane to nyc'. maybe this is me being naive but...maybe she's coming to nyc for LB reheasals?

or i could be reading way too into it. she just happens to be my favorite...

although (and forgive me for my love of facebook!) some girl just wrote on bailey's wall that she and her mom can't wait to see bailey as elle and she hopes bailey's enjoying new york. so...who knows... Updated On: 6/26/08 at 11:54 AM

I hope Bailey doesn't win, either, but it wouldn't surprise me because it's not like LB casting standards have been amazing up to this point.

umm i don't think it means Luaren won, cause apparently the winner has been in rehearsal for quite some time (also apparently, it's not going well for the winner, and their entering the show may have to be delayed).

Are the girls not allowed to appear at events before the winner is announced. I found it odd that Emma was not in any of the pics for her father's tribute.

I think they can appear at events. I saw a picture somewhere of about 5 of the girls at Broadway Bares.
Besides...there weren't many pictures of the Jerry Zaks event, so she may have been there, but just not in any pictures that were posted.

So I was being a dork and watching the full performances on MTV and I came across the show commercial that aired in May to promote it. If you watch it closely. There is a challenge where 5 of them are jumping on trampolines. I tried pausing it but they are all mid-jump at some point so its blurry, but the 5 i thought I saw were Bailey, Emma, Lauren and Rhiannon. They were all blondes but there was one behind one of them I couldn't really make out who it was. Just a fun little tidbit.

Thats odd about them all being blonde because the top five should have atleast one brunette because there are two right now, maybe whatever brunette is left over dyed her hair blonde?

Autumn: Mary Poppins. Belle. Mark's Mom in RENT.

Bailey: Belle/Ariel. Hilary Faye in Saved!

Cassie S.: Allison in Cry Baby. Amber in Hairspray.

Celina: Maureen in RENT. Marta in Company.

Lauren: Marty in Grease. Glinda in Wicked.

Natalie: Bebe in ACL. Penny in Hairspray.

Emma: Nessa in Wicked.

Rhiannon: Sandy or Patty in Grease.

I think a few of these girls could be great as Margot (Rhiannon, Natalie, Lauren).

I have a feeling that a girl or two will end up playing someone in Legally Blonde, not Cassie S though, she is to good to be an ensemble member or a swing or understudy, she can only be Elle

Does anyone think that Emma won the role??? I heard that she already auditioned for the role the first time around when they were casting the original cast. Personally I think she has an unfair advantage. She has already been in a broadway show with Paul Cannan that was choreographed by Jerry Mitchell. To me that seems like a pretty big advantage. I do have to say though all the girls have done very well so far. I wish each of them lots of luck.

Everyone on the show, except for Bailey, has had professional credits. Emma is not the only one. She was just the most recognizable because of her last name.
