I'm gonna say only like 5? I usually try to branch out and see as many different shows as I can, rather than seeing the same ones over and over, for example I have a friend who has seen Gypsy 35 times on Broadway, but at the same time I've seen every show that has opened over the last 6 years, and he's seen only a few. Both ways are fine though, it depends on what you lovee, I usually see each show I like two times at least though. :)

Passing Strange: 9 times on Broadway (wish I had known about it when it was at the Public), plus the CD release party at Joe's Pub--one of the funnest nights ever!

wasn't there a guy who saw CATS on broadway every sunday for the entire run of the production?
and wasn't there also a guy that saw RENT every week or tried to see it every week?
i can't remember where i heard these stories... i think the news or something when the shows closed...

When I saw RENT in early 2007, there was a woman there who said she had seen it over 200 times on Broadway. When I saw the show again, seven months later, she was there. I don't even want to think about how many times she must have seen it in its final months.

I'm up to 7 for Wicked - 1 on Broadway, 4 in Chicago, and 2 in Detroit. Not always by choice, but because I'd always have a friend who wanted to see it for the first time, and they'd ask me to go with them. Can't say no!
Other than that, I just have a list of 2x shows
Hairspray
Avenue Q
August: Osage County
Mary Poppins
Lion King
I'd rather see a new show than see something multiple times

i must say... besides Miss Saigon... Les Miserables, Little Shop of Horrors and Into the Woods are the only shows that I'm willing to go see any production.. i don't care if it's regional show or a high school production... i think i've seen les mis about 7 or 8 times, Little Shop i've seen about 5 or 6 and Into the Woods 5 or 6... and if a production is ever playing nearby... i'll go... just because i love these shows

Oh man, well I'm in Toronto so my numbers are skewed by the fact that there is way less choice.
Rent - 35 times, plus I've probably seen the second half only an additional 15 or so times.
Ragtime - 10
Sunset Boulevard - 10
I saw Napoleon a bunch of times too - did that ever open in NYC?

Wicked-10x L.A. (I know, I know)
at one of those performances the people in front of us said they saw it 70x.
and at another one of those performances I heard there was this guy who entered the lottery and won 33 times.

I actually lost count, though I have what I think is a pretty good estimate. It was Rent, over the course of six years, and roughly twenty-seven.

Um...2. For Rent. And only because I wanted to see Adam and Anthony live in it. But once it started, the memories flooded back and I was very bored for the rest of the night. Not because I didn't enjoy it, but because it was so over-directed at that point I recalled every little step they took. It was frustrating, so now I usually limit how many times I see a show.
But do other productions count? Because I've seen Hair almost 3 times, but each production was just a tiny bit different from the last. I just can't imagine sitting through the same show so many times, no matter how much you love it.

WOW! That costs a lot of $$$ - I can't imagine how one affords to see that show so many times.
