Saw Billy Elliot again tonight with Kiril, Keean, and Trent as Tall Boy, I'd been waiting to see this combination for months. I have to say seeing Kiril punch Trent in the face as Posh Boy, was hilarious.
There are 3 things I wanted to mention:
1) Firstly, in Todays Performance, Will Chase said in his rant to Mrs Wilkinson at the end of Act 1, that Billy was 12 instead of 11. This was the first time I had heard him say this. Has anyone else noticed Will Chase's line has changed to mention Billy is 12 instead of 11? Or do you think this was just a fluke/mistake. I think it's smart to mention Billy is 12 now that the boys are so unbelievably old.
2) I remember in Greg Jbara's video blog with Kiril, Kiril telling the story of how in one performance this year, His hand was stepped on and injured at the end of the "He could go, He could Shine" scene. And later, in Electricity, did a full improvised (without rehearsal) backflip instead of a handspring, (which shocked Jbara), because he couldn't use his hand, and didn't want to leave the performance. WELL ANYWAYS, The last two times (recently) I've seen Kiril perform Electricity, he has been doing the full extended Backflip, which is very impressive, and it stands out. Has anyone else noticed this? I think he's getting better, even this late in the show, making more acting choices, and taking more liberties. And the other boys aren't doing the full backflip!
3) Does anyone wonder why Both David A and Trent have both played the Tall/Posh boy role but Kiril has not?? Do you think he was even trained in the part as a standby?
