Saw both matinee shows yesterday after a short hiatus, lots of new faces to get used to! It was Tommy/David B for the eve show, both put out amazing performances. Probably the strongest show I've seen from Tommy, he just gets better and better. :) AND he's doing the flip off the piano now! I already liked Will Chase's Tony, but its also gotten even better.
Izzy was cute as Debbie, though I missed her trademark shrieking at the beginning of Shine. :)
That's too bad, I hope he's not sick. There are a few bugs going around, but perhaps it could be the heat or a bad In-N-Out burger or something. Who knows. I'm trying to see him on Thursday.
Stephen: "Could you grab me a coffee?"
Me: "Would you like that with all the colors of the wind?"
Saw Billy Elliot again tonight with Kiril, Keean, and Trent as Tall Boy, I'd been waiting to see this combination for months. I have to say seeing Kiril punch Trent in the face as Posh Boy, was hilarious.
There are 3 things I wanted to mention: 1) Firstly, in Todays Performance, Will Chase said in his rant to Mrs Wilkinson at the end of Act 1, that Billy was 12 instead of 11. This was the first time I had heard him say this. Has anyone else noticed Will Chase's line has changed to mention Billy is 12 instead of 11? Or do you think this was just a fluke/mistake. I think it's smart to mention Billy is 12 now that the boys are so unbelievably old.
2) I remember in Greg Jbara's video blog with Kiril, Kiril telling the story of how in one performance this year, His hand was stepped on and injured at the end of the "He could go, He could Shine" scene. And later, in Electricity, did a full improvised (without rehearsal) backflip instead of a handspring, (which shocked Jbara), because he couldn't use his hand, and didn't want to leave the performance. WELL ANYWAYS, The last two times (recently) I've seen Kiril perform Electricity, he has been doing the full extended Backflip, which is very impressive, and it stands out. Has anyone else noticed this? I think he's getting better, even this late in the show, making more acting choices, and taking more liberties. And the other boys aren't doing the full backflip!
3) Does anyone wonder why Both David A and Trent have both played the Tall/Posh boy role but Kiril has not?? Do you think he was even trained in the part as a standby?

Will has been saying "12" instead of "11" with all of the Billys except Tommy, but thats a fairly recent change.
I thought I noticed something cool about Kiril's final tumble sequence in Electricity last time I saw it (about 3-4 weeks ago). All I could pinpoint was that it was no-hands, lol, I was surprised.
I'm not sure if this is an appropriate site to post this. I have 4 tickets for today's (8/15) matinee. I was supposed to see this with my family but our plans have changed. If anyone wants buy any of these tickets you can email me at jimwingo@yahoo.com. The seats are in 2 pairs. One in orchestra row A and the other one right behind in orchestra row B (all partial view). I'm selling them for face value which is $85 for each ticket. thanks
Yeah that age line change started even when Santino was there but it was like his final week they started changing it. I saw it the night before his final show with Kiril and he said 12 and then the next day with Tommy and he said 11.
Has anyone bought those student tickets that they supposedly sell two hours before curtain for $41.50? Is there an insane line? Are the seats good? I'd love to go if I could get those... (and sorry if this has been discussed in the 35pp of this thread! I looked through a few pages and didn't spot anything.)
That rush was always very iffy at best because it was "subject to availability"- the one time I tried on a Tuesday in May they told me they wouldn't be selling it that day. I believe I also read somewhere that they have suspended all rush for the rest of the summer because the show has been selling so well.
Also, the rush seats were mezz anyway, I believe, so you're better off just buying the regularly priced $41.50 rear mezz seats in advance.
Yup, def no student rush until the fall. They have a sign below the first window that faces out in the lobby saying "no student rush at this performance" or something. Its been there pretty much since the Tonys.
My sister and I are considering seeing this show in October. How are the seats in the rear mezzanine or the orchestra partial view? Can you see anything from these seats? Where is the best place to sit (other than the orchestra?). Thanks for the help!
I would get orch or front mezz partial view over anything in rear mezz, preferrably on the house right side. They'll try and tell you house left is better, but its not...
Seeing the show for the first time tomorrow afternoon! SOOO EXCITED But I was wondering, have any understudies been on lately? Or is anyone scheduled to be out tomorrow?
The only person is out is Susan Parks(Spaztic Starfish) who is played by Tessa Netting but Kara Klein will be on for her. Billy Board is really unpredicatble. Not sure who your Billy will be.
