2 I’m hoping for:
Boop somehow getting into Best Musical, and David Hyde Pierce in Leading Actor
What I’m really hoping for is a whole lot of ties and extra nominees!
Jasmine could be a spoiler winner if the Tony nominators really go for Boop. It's more likely that the nomination will be the prize for her because Sunset Boulevard and Gypsy both seemed to have stronger responses.
Nominator preferences don’t always align with the actual voters. There are plenty of productions who have received a disproportionate number of noms who end up being lucky if they win one of them. Nominators have a lot more freedom in who they honor- voters have only one pick per category.
If Jasmine beat both Audra and Nicole it would be one of the biggest upsets I’ve ever seen. I personally don’t see it happening.

Those are not the nominations, they are Time Out NY’s personal picks.

Oh woops. The headline is very misleading.

I agree. I think people are probably imagining a parallel with Joaquina Kalukunga in Paradise Square sweeping in at the last minute. The difference is none of those nominees really came from rapturously reviewed shows and the presumed front runner's show, Caroline or Change with Sharon D Clarke, had already closed.
We all have our favorites and who we want to win. It's a wonderful place to be when there are so many strong potential winners in so many categories. I'm personally rooting for Helen J Shen, but I'll be thrilled if she gets nominated with how crowded the category is.

The two I'm hoping for the most:
- Real Women Have Curves in Best Musical
- Hilty AND Simard in Lead Actress
Any other omissions I may be disappointed about, but those are the key nominations for me.

I understand these are personal picks, but choosing DBH and Just in time for Best Book of Musical over Operation Mincemeat is demented. I understand the hatred towards the UK transplant which is objectively better that most of the new US musicals this year, but excluding it from the Book nomination looks really personal.
Feldman wasn't very keen on Mincemeat overall. People can simply just not vibe with shows without it being hatred or a personal grudge.

This just tells us that you don't know the meaning of the word "objectively."

Correct. And he was VERY keen on Just in Time, which I definitely was not. The only one that really makes me raise my eyebrow is no Natalie Venetia Belcon who is giving an incredible performance but including Michelle Pawk and Bernadette Peters who are... fine.

Objectively better? Why are you the final say?

Some very logical and believable predictions, but the increasing indications that Hilty may be left out are depressing.

I wonder why most predictions are leaving Just In Time out of Best Musical? It got rave reviews. I wonder if it will surprise everyone. But what would it knock out of the top 5 slots?

It’s a crowded year and the perception- not incorrectly- is that it’s the Groff show, so honoring him can be seen as honoring the show.

Those do seem realistic.
Starting to doubt Mincemeat makes it in - it’d fit with other British transfers (largely plays).
Still hoping for Hills of California, Dead Outlaw and Floyd Collins representation in that case.

"Raves" are very subjective. I wouldn't call them raves at all. Check this chart:

Greg Evans is not particularly good at predicting aside very obvious choices. He seems a little disconnected from the industry.
Does anyone know if Smash is eligible for Original Score? I've seen people say it isn't for obvious reasons, but I've also seen it listed as a contender by some reputable sources. The Tony committee didn't announce any ruling on its score, unless I missed it.
