Exactly. She also can do both musicals and plays. I think she will still be jumping from show to show. She is also one of the only actresses that I feel can have a recording career.

If you like Daphne's voice (I do too) then I would go while she is still in. I thought she was incredibly intimate and moving and she made every single word believable. I'll be sad to see her leave so soon. But, I am excited for Lea.
can't wait! Seeing Lea Salonga on the Les Miz dreamcast vhs tape back in the day when i was 6 years old made me fall in love with the play, im excited to see her as Fantine

I am happy for Lea, and I am sure she will do well. Now I wish I had the time and money to go to New York to see the show. It also makes me want a cast recording again.
In the words of the late Peter Boyle: Hooooooooly CRAP!
I am SO excited for Ms. Salonga to not only return to the Broadway stage, but to take on a role that she is just perfectly fit for! I will go through hell to see her in this show! I'll sell my kidneys! I don't care... I have to see it!
But, I must confess, I will miss Daphne as Fantine. I am in the camp that truly enjoyed her interpretation of the character, and also appreciated her vocals for what they were.
But HOLY GOD Lea Salonga... I just have to see her live! She is gonna belt the crap outta this mother!
"The nice thing about the rain is that it always stops... eventually."
yeah definitley add me to those who will be missing Daphne. I LOVED her Fantine and found her performance so intimate and vulnerable and had not seen such a damaged Fantine. I loved how it was such a bold choice in casting her and that she just took it a whole new direction. The song become something so different than any version I had seen (and I mean that as a compliment) I really loved her portrayal but I love Lea as well and am exciting for her take on the role.
I wish Daphne all the luck in Jack Goes Boating! I will be there!
RIP Natasha Richardson. ~You were a light on this earth ~
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

This is amazing! I'm seeing the show on Saturday and now I definitely see it again after Lea comes. Too bad she probably won't be eligible for the Tony...
I would actually really like to see Nikki during the week or so that she is on . . . not sure if I will actually be able to or not, but would love to. Good for her. Have never heard Lea Salonga but looking forward to it.
Not surprised Daphne isn't returning after the revies she has had, although slightly sorry. Oh well . . . will have seen her four times by the time she goes and will definitely see her in "Jack Goes Boating" so won't miss her too much! Definitely wish her the best of luck in everything.
"I wrote a book: "How to Be Popular". Now I've put together a top ten list of how to help you:
-Elphie, everyday... shower. I mean, who knows? Maybe some of that green is gonna come off!
-Deodorant Elphie. No body likes a stinky witch!
-I think we've covered the hair, we'll get to that.
-Clean underclothes. That's all I'm gonna say.
-Look at your posture. That's no way to be popular!
-Bed made, room straightened. We've done that.
-Colors blended. Oookay.
-But the most important thing to have, to make yourself popular, is to keep your beautiful smile."
~Kristin Chenoweth in her last performance of the song "Popular"
