Oh, that goal was achieved decades ago. Now it’s just for amusement. People’s lack of common sense triggers me to sometimes post an a**hole comment. Most of the time I just lurk and don’t bother.

Agreed! It's a thrilling listen. I do hope Powell & Schwartz are awarded an Oscar for their efforts. I've been listening to the Original Motion Picture Score and Sing-a-Long albums more than the soundtrack.

Carol de Giere is the author of two books that provide behind-the-scenes stories on popular musicals. The first book, Defying Gravity: The Creative Career of Stephen Schwartz, from Godspell to Wicked, takes readers into the world of the award-winning composer-lyricist behind Wicked, Pippin, and other Broadway shows and films. The second book, The Godspell Experience: Inside a Transformative Musical, records the history and song-by-song details for Godspell and features a Foreword by Stephen Schwartz. Both books serve as historical records in addition to offering insights on the creative process for fans of musicals, working writers, and performers. Back from a Xmas Day "singalong" showing. Only about 20 people or so, but the young ladies sang out - although not as loud as you might have expected. I did not reach for any of the high notes.

The graphics for the singalong were very good - readable and timely. And the Erivo/Grande pre-show "warm-up" was helpful!

(Note: film was better on second viewing).

The physical release has been moved up to February 4th.

Is the February 4th release date for the blu-ray in the US? My pre-order at Amazon shows it as June 30th

Oh, I'm sure that after part 2 releases discs, a little while later there will be a "deluxe" edition of both parts in one, so they can double dip on those sales.

Looks like the deleted scenes (monkey and the train) are unfinished and they are up on twitterverse
