All signs now definitely point to the trailer premiering publicly/online during the Tony Awards on June 8th.

But will this be the standard initial “teaser” trailer (which is the trailer issued first) or they’re breaking protocol and just premiering the first full trailer?

I bet it'll be the same CinemaCon "teaser," but who knows?

Interestingly (and confusingly), this article notes “Following the screenings, the trailer will be available online for viewing.”
Not sure if that means it’ll be online immediately following the screenings or…
*edited to add…*
“The first Wicked: For Good trailer will premiere immediately after the film has ended.”
But do they mean it’ll premiere in theaters at these screenings after the film ends…? Or that it’ll drop online after the screenings conclude? I’m confused.

It will be the teaser, there’s no way Universal is giving it all away this soon. They want to build momentum, they know how many people have been chomping at the bit to see anything from this second installment, and they will draw it out as long as they can.

The article is pretty clear about how and when you can see it.

That trailer looks absolutely gorgeous.

I don't think a trailer has ever made me cry before.

Was that a wedding sequence? I don't remember that from the show. A fantasy sequence maybe?

Well Act 2 does need significant expansion to actually have a full runtime...

The WICKED films are also using elements from Gregory Maguire’s original book and which were left out of the abridged Broadway musical adaptation. In the book, Glinda does get married. She marries an older baron named Sir Chuffrey.

I am a 57 year old man and this trailer BROKE ME!
Posted: 6/4/25 at 11:20pm
Mark my words. If the rest of the film looks as sumptuous as this trailer does it is going to sweep the m*ther f*cking Oscars!

The new costumes look almost gorgeous as last time. Ariana as Glinda possibly being featured in the Wonderful sequence? What a surprise! If Cynthia and Ari slay For Good, I’ll die a happy man!

Thanks. It's been so long since I read the book that I don't even remember that! In the trailer it looks like she is marrying Fieryo. I will have to watch it again and see if the background is different between the two shots of them.

That was a wonderful trailer. This one-year intermission was certainly a smart idea, and it makes me excited to see it and maybe watch the first part again right before seeing this one in theaters.

That was magical in all senses of the word

This truly looks like the greatest movie musical ever. We have been VERY lucky that Wicked has Jon M Chu at the helm.
Between the theatre and film, I truly believe that Wicked likely has or will have the most worldwide cultural impact of any musical we know of so far.

I wonder if the movie starts off with Glinda going up the stairs with the grimmerie. It seems she’s in the blue dress during For Good
