Thanks for the info! I will try for rush. I heard rush seats aren't the best in this show, but I'll see what they have!

My friend got G 1 and I got G 6 which are pretty much premium seats. I also got row B. They are great for rush.

Oh I didn’t realize! I could have sworn I read people saying they got bad seats but it could very well be outdated info or I could be confusing it with another show. That makes me feel better, I’m heading over in a bit to try for a decent seat or a good stand :)

Both times I did rush I had fantastic aisle seats in the orchestra, full view just a few rows from the stage. I’m not sure where else people can be positioned but I’m crossing my fingers for you. If you decide to rush, please report back!

Got there at 7pm for the 8pm and they had no rush or standing room (not a sold out show) but had tix for $169 - I politely declined haha. I shall try again. If/when I get tickets I’ll report back on seat location for others!

So...any reports on how our new cast is doing?? I haven’t seen any comments about how either actor is!! I’m so curious!

Apparently they haven’t even given Alison her own playbill - they’re using Shoshana’s! I know the show is closing and they’re probably looking to save costs, but considering she’s the lead of the show I think that’s pretty rubbish! I still think it’s rubbish that Stephanie has never had her own playbill number of months she’s played Jenna, but that’s at least understandable because she’s the understudy.

^I think it's ridiculous too. Waitress is Alison's 7th Broadway show. More than any other Jenna has been in and they don't have her on the playbill.

Maybe they're just trying to use up the Shoshana ones for July, and Allison's will start with the August playbill?

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if they just end up switching to just the plain Waitress logo instead of giving Alison her own Playbill

yeah I think it’s a bit disrespectful.
I can see that maybe they’re wanting to use up Shoshana’s playbills, but they didn’t do that to any other of the lead Jennas. Honestly wouldn’t surprise me if they’re waiting until Colleen and Todrick start when they’ll have them on the playbill instead!

Alison and Mark had a photoshoot yesterday so hopefully that means a playbill for them.

I was just wondering if anyone has seen Alison Luff yet and has a review of her performance?
Apologies if this is listed in another thread somewhere.

I saw Alison twice in her first week, she was amazing. Her voice, her acting, her chemistry with the new doctor, she was a perfect Jenna and brought something her own to the role. Go see her, you won't regret it.

Saw the show this weekend. I thought she was incredible.
Dawn, Betsy and Cal were all strong as well. Joe was just so so compared to previous actors we have seen.
I thought Mark Evans was a downgrade as Doctor Pomatter from others I've seen, not great chemistry and a bit of a mechanical performance though standard qualifiers apply regarding the particular performance and a two day show others may have a different experience.
Ogie did not bring nearly as much physical comedy to the role, but was otherwise strong.
I'd recommend seeing it for Alison alone, its such a single performer centric show, the rest of the characters are really ancillary.
Did they give Alison her own Playbill or are they still using Shoshana's?

They are still using Soshana's
Colleen Ballinger is vlogging her time in NYC, not able to show any theatre or rehearsal footage, but she got her hair cut short for Dawn.

Looking for other reviews of the current cast. I'm hoping to rush tomorrow and curious how everyone has been doing. Will update with rush seat location if I get them :)

Has anyone discussed Jessie Mueller coming back to close the show?

WTF?! This just seems a little disrespectful to Alison idk. I get maybe with the show closing they might want to be cutting costs but come on! I guess I’m not surprised given that right now they’re using the current London cast to advertise the show on Broadway, lol!

I’m not sure how true this is, but I did read somewhere that Jessie said in an interview that once she’s done with a role, she’s finished and won’t come back. I could totally be wrong, however.

Update: just finished seeing tonight’s show. Thought the current cast was wonderful! Last time I saw it, Jason Mraz was the doctor so this current guy, to me, wasn’t my favorite, but overall thought he did a good job. Alison was AMAZING! Thought she made such a perfect Jenna. I had the chance of sitting a few rows back in orchestra so was able to see every last emotion on her face and it was all perfect! Great voice, great acting, great emotions and overall just a beautiful performance! I had honestly gone tonight to specifically see Noah Galvin. I love his acting and was curious how he was going to play Ogie. He NAILED IT!! The girl who played dawn was adorable and thought she was fantastic as well. Is she the original dawn or a different one? She seemed exactly the same as when I saw it a year and a half ago but maybe I’m not remembering it exactly.
Overall, great cast and would recommend seeing it with them all in it!
Going next Wednesday for Colleen and Todrick! So excited! Shouldn't we get the new Dawn and Ogie soon?
