How long you have been posting here is irrelevant to the substance of my comment other than it only reinforces that you've been beating this same drum for a very long time. You've said your piece. It;s been heard. Saying it again and again and again makes no sense.
And what I am telling you is that unfortunately and as clearly evident I am incapable of doing that. So that leaves you with three choices 1. Ignore me, 2. Block me or 3. Get me banned. Perhaps I have a problem myself? I don’t know why, I do find it hard to move on. So I am genuine when I tell you that the best way to stop me posting about this is just ignore me. Don’t feed the troll!
Even reading the idea here that Patti should have ‘said nothing’ I find highly infuriating. This is a woman who was vilified unfairly for commenting on the objective sound levels of a show and as a consequence accused of the worst kind of slander (literally the worst - there is almost no greater social crime right now). She will not be bullied into keeping silent. I am incapable of staying silent watching these bullies. While we’re here - Is anyone going to hold Cynthia Erivo accountable for her DESPICABLE behaviour that caused a show closing and many POC to lose work?? I don’t mean taking work from her because she is incredibly talented and I don’t believe in cancellation. But it’s amazing how incredibly dangerous and immoral some people in this community behave and have behaved over the years and we are meant to just smile and say ‘Yass girl?’. No girl. None of this is ok. Cynthia, if you or your agent is reading this and wants to do a 2 hour podcast on this where I confront you about the Great Comet fiasco please PM me. I guarantee you every person on this forum will be tuning in along with every person in the New York Broadway community. THIS would be the event of the season!!
For far too long we have had modern day witch hunters trying to burn innocent people at the stake and it's not ok.

The Audra x Jake interview was incredibly charming.
Just started watching the Clooney/LuPone pairing and after his beyond beautiful complimenting rant to Patti he totally lost that credibility when he confessed he attended a matinee of EVITA because they were cheaper and he was broke in 1980. LuPone never performed the matinees, her alternate Terri Klausner did. EVITA was the first to have alternates at matinees. Kudos to LuPone for not correcting him though I know it was tough having to sit there biting her tongue instead of correcting him. The Playbill didn’t have an alternate one for the matinee Eva Peron so I think he assumed he saw Patti, based on his Playbill, and has been holding that for decades when all along he saw Terri as EVITA.

Does he specifically say that he saw LuPone and say that she was wonderful? Or just that he saw the show at a matinee? Big difference there.

He specifically states he first saw her on stage in EVITA in 1980 then in London in SUNSET BLVD in 1993. He goes into detail about how she captivates an audience, etc. His mention of the EVITA matinee comes out after they begin their conversation and you can see in her face she’s holding back on correcting him.

Really enjoyed much of the Clooney/LuPone conversation, veered into politics a lot (understandable given the subject matter of Clooney's play) but very interesting.
LOVED Gyllenhaal/McDonald's. Both effortlessly charming, very intelligent and thoughtful, and were able to connect over the overlaps in their careers like performing Sondheim and working with Kenny Leon, but able to dig in and learn more about how they tackle their art.
Culkin/Snook's was overall benign. I understand the pairing, they have a cute rapport and both are very charismatic. But they know each other too well, never felt like they were really learning something new about each other. Also rather disappointing to have this series of conversations supposedly celebrating stars on Broadway and both of them say, "Yeah I'm having fun, I won't do Broadway again for at least 10 years."
I’m sort of obsessed with Audra’s “Lady Day” cell phone story. I wish I could have been there for that.

Culkin and Snook both have young kids. I'm not surprised they won't commit to Broadway agaim for some time and am grateful we have them performing right now.

I already had tickets to see Just In Time in a couple weeks, but listening to Groff talk about it here has me even more excited

Jonathan Groff could have chemistry with a box of hair. One of the most charismatic, charming, and present people I've seen in any of these conversations.
I found Nicole a bit mannered at the start, clearly pushing through the media training. But once she broke through, the conversation livened up. Unfortunate she hasn't gotten to see Just In Time so she seemed a bit at sea at what to ask him, but Jonathan led the conversation very well with a fun level of diva worship.
PFL. Patti F*fking LuPone.
Nicole looked to be very politely waiting for him to take a breath so she could actually get a word in here or there.

I actually thought she was monopolizing the conversation more than he was.
i hope there's more of these...
The Audra/Jake conversation has been my favorite so far. It seemed relaxed and effortlessly charming and they actually got into some interesting stuff about their respective crafts and experiences.
And I also clutched my pearls when Clooney said he saw Patti in a matinee of Evita. But maybe he’s just remembering it wrong.

Cannot recall her mentioning her schedule in her book, but is there a chance she did do matinees at the LA engagement prior to Broadway?
Watched the Cole-Darren interview last night. Poor Darren, he barely was able to talk about Maybe Happy Ending.
I hope there's more of these as Variety does a lot of them. I'd love to see a Megan Hilty and Robyn Hurder interview. David Hyde Pierce interviewing Bebe Neuwirth? Lin Manuel interesting Wayne Brady?
These are actors interviewing actors from new productions this season. The latter two would never happen.
