One season of Broadway has come and gone, so let’s make some bold predictions for next year! Who are the early frontrunners? Who should we keep our eyes on? Are there any shows eyeing Broadway that are ripe for an award?
Let’s discuss!
Sharon D Clarke and Tonya Pinkins will both win awards, as the universe attempts to right egregious wrongs.

I hope Sharon D Clarke will not be affected by the curse of the fall show that closed too early for anyone to remember it
K Pop - Best Choreography
Kimberly Akimbo - Best Book

Is Tonya slated to be in a show next season, or are you just trying to manifest that?
Just putting it out into the world.

Having seen DoaS in London, I believe that Wendell Pierce is an absolute lock for Best Actor regardless of it being a limited run or what else opens next season.

Forget 2023, let's focus on 2024. Discus!

Unless something goes really wrong, Bonnie Milligan will win Featured in a Musical.
Also, Paulo Szot has a really great role, he may go 2/2 at the Tonys.
Jodie Comer will win the Best Actress in a Play Tony, and it will be the same "season" that she also wins the Olivier Award for the same role.

I see Kimberly Akimbo doing well with both Victoria and Bonnie winning and a strong shot at the creatives and top prize.
Also imagine Salesman will be a big player, and that a few voters will be itching to see Clarke win after losing this year. If she can win lead over in the West End, she should manage to take featured over here as the role’s historically been classified.
Lead Actress in a Play - Jodie Comer (Prima Facie)
Best Play - Prima Facie
Best Musical - Kimberly Akimbo
Best Musical Revival - Camelot, Into The Woods, or 1776 (Can't really make a decision, just my top 3)
Best Play Revival - Death of A Salesman

Knowing Sher, Camelot will win revival. Into the Woods will probably be forgotten. It’s not hoping for any Tonys love.
Excited to see what happens with KPop!
I predict Betsy Wolfe will be nominated for her first Tony award, but I unfortunately can’t see her winning

I think those are everybody's top 3 at the moment, considering they're the only 3 announced!
Best Costume Design Musical - Arianne Phillips for The Devil Wears Prada

Could be an embarrassment of riches in this category with Lempicka, Camelot, KPOP, and Some Like It Hot also offering lots of opportunities for grand costume design. (But I agree with your win prediction)

But nothing for Almost Famous? Has it been forgotten before it even begins?

Individual performances to keep an eye on:
Jodie Comer, Prima Facie
Samuel L. Jackson, The Piano Teacher
Audra McDonald, Ohio State Murders
Luna - KPOP
Best Actor in a Musical could be between J. Harrison Ghee in Some Like it Hot or Will Swenson in A Beautiful Noise if we get another MJ situation. As for Lead Actress, I'm looking out for Victoria Clark in Kimberly Akimbo, Adrianna Hicks in Some Like it Hot or maybe Luna in KPOP or Crystal Lucas-Perry in 1776. Featured Actor is currently less clear but Paulo Szot in & Juliet is a possibility given that David Bedella won the Olivier for the role. As for Featured Actress, I think Bonnie Milligan in Kimberly Akimbo and maybe Beth Leavel in The Devil Wears Prada could be out front.
Luna winning for KPOP would be pretty dope.
I can easily see them getting a Best Score nomination too.

I can't imagine K Pop lasting past January.....So many musicals are opening this season.

I’m sure Leavel is campaigned as a lead like Streep was for the film

Honestly, can see KPOP being the hit of the season if it manages to capture even a fraction of the energy of the phenomenon (admittedly, it's one I'm not personally familiar with).
