Look, Bethy wrote a poem!

My friends and I had a random...open mike as it were, a couple weeks ago. We got out my mic and taped us reading poetry and then making it up...letting it drip from our tongues like honey, as Mr. Keating put it in Dead Poets Society. I was listening to the tape and realized that one of my poems was about Anthony (actually, it was more a stream of consciousness). I figured I should share it (it's not bloody Shakespeare, mind you) and start our communional New Year off with some true Anthony love. Maybe this will be a nice thing for him to find if he's still lurking.

Happy New Year all! Now on to the poetry thing!

Are you completely insane so that the insanity of us doesn't affect you?
Or are you just so...glad that people care enough to
talk about how much you talk with your hands or
that you're really, really pale and we find that
absolutely adorable?
That you realize we write those stories about you
(partly because it would be reallly hot if you and Adam made out)
but mostly out of wanting to make sure your life goes perfectly
like in a story
because that's what we want for you.
Because you're such a kind and open person.
I mean, you can feel warmth radiating from the computer
when you're online even though the person receiving the warmth
is miles and miles and states away.
You've got something so rare
(and I don't mean your talent, tons of people have talent)
I just mean...I don't know what I mean.
But you're rare in that quality that's impossible to describe.
The way that you're just...giving
and you have so much heart and so much soul
and you can just share it with everyone,
people you've never met and
never will meet or work with or know.
Even if you don't necessarily mean to
you inspire me and countless others.
Because of love for you, we've formed a real
community of love, a sisterhood (and brotherhood)
and we all thank you for the friends we've found.
We love you. I love you. No questions asked.
If you don't know,
Anthony,
you need to.

3. "I love shrubs that are historical." -Johnny and The Sprites
4. "We're not singing it to you, we're singing it for us." -Rosario Dawson, about La Vie Boheme
5. "The best moments in reading are when you come across something - a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things - which you had thought special and particular to you. And now, here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out, and taken yours." -The History Boys
6. "Pass the parcel. That's sometimes all you can do. Take it, feel it and pass it on. Not for me, not for you, but for someone, somewhere, one day. Pass it on, boys. That's the game I want you to learn. Pass it on." -The History Boys

You must think I'm still sixteen. I dropped out of high school for a reason. And I don't care if you're pretty. I'm not admitting you are right. My soul is not a stage. I won't pretend I'm anything I'm not

Check out http://www.logoonline.com/shows/dyn/the_out_100/series.jhtml and click on the "See Gallery" link under "Photos." Anthony's in a couple, and so is Tracie Thoms and Rosario Dawson. There are a couple videos where you can see him in the background, too.
I'll try to tape it when they show it tomorrow. I've never tried to get a burned DVD on the computer, but it's a good reason to try!

Happy New Year all!
And incendiary_wit, that poem is phenomenal!

Congratulations and Mazel Tov to Mauriposa!

Who wants to help get Anthony on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart? I would pay good money to see those two interact. =8->

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Hey you guys, I was looking around and I figured out Anthony was already on the Ellen D. show not tooooooo long ago it was November 21, 2005.....but maybe she'll have him again
#10297

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

1. Congrats on the whole you are getting married, we want details!

2. Why the hell won't you email them? YOu dont want Anthony to publisize his book? That is kinda crappy of you!

3. omg Yes he would be GREAT on the Daily Show...the two of them would have a blast

4. And he was "on" ellen in November but not really. He was part of a cast thing and sang, not the same as doing a promotion for a book he wrote. PLus that was in the sppecial NYC thing, I'm sure that wouldnt keep her from having him on
#10298

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

yea and he didnt even talk on ellen the last time

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

the best way for him to get on ellen's show is for him to make sure that he's on her mind in the first place and how would that happen unless she keeps seeing his name over and over again in dozens of emails? it wouldnt take five minutes for you to email, theres really no excuse not to if you'd like to see him do a decent talk show. would taking a couple of minutes of your day really be that inconvenient? (i'm sure I spelled that wrong.)

not that he cant get onto talk shows himself, but really. isaac? awful stuff right there. and it's just a decent thing to do if you're a fan, help him any way you can. really crappy of you, as a supposed supporter of his work.

related note: does anyone else have problems emailing ellen? I cant get the email to send. it takes me to a page that says its sending and then it never lets me leave that page or click the button that says 'click this button if this email doesnt send' or whatever.

(aim blows. wont let me stay connected long enough to do anything, so im giving up for now)

((i'm sorry if i was rude in this. i'm hung over and cant bring myself to sugarcoat. its very unsouthern of me and my mom is probably feeling an urge to slap me silly right now without even knowing why. so, i'm sorry, in advance. very sorry. i'm mean and rude and going to hell.))
Literal tacos! Sheesh. Y'all are nasty....
