Thanks, Anthony, for all the answers (even to my goofy Oreo question). We'll try not to overwhelm you quite so much, we know you're busy. Kudos for being such a great sport about all of this and good luck with Little Shop and Rent- that's got to be an insane schedule.
I won't ask anything else, I hate to make answering all of us more of a chore for you. You're welcome to just chitchat on the Welcome Wagon thread if you're ever bored and have spare time... if that should ever happen. Just sayin'. This doesn't have to be a cross-examination.
Yeah, I think we've actually found a way to do this successfully now
I think that if we could do the same thing here like in the "rent welcome" that would be great. Just chitchat, cool, and chill that would be great. Okay sorry for that just thought I'd say it. I know this is pointless blabbing, but now I've done. Okay.

I've been skimming over this thread and I thought I'd put in my two cents (I'm sorry, I'm cheap-forgive me).
And on that lovely note, I have a question for Anthony Rapp (brace yourselves):
Hypothetically,
Would you rather live the rest of your life without being able to see or hear, or would you rather have a ferret chew on your arm for one hour of every day?
I'd definitely choose the ferret. Sure, it would be wicked painful, but hey, at least it's only for an hour!
By the way, don't hurt yourself over this question - it's one that really makes you think.

And we thought the Oreo question was silly

Well the Oreo question is relatively normal in comparison to the ferret or blind and deaf. An interesting question.
Hey Anthony it's Brian from Utah. Your best friend, remember? :)
Anyway, good luck with the start of the movie on Monday. Heidi and I are planning a trip out there sometime so hopefully we can hook up again. I just barely figured out how to post on this damn bored. Aren't I smart?
Know you're busy but write back when you get a chance.

I just found out about the movie a few days ago and found out even more recently that some of the original cast is coming back for the movie...where have I been?

Hey, Anthony, if you get a chance, could you maybe tell us a little bit about rehearsal?

aww i was gonna ask that but i thought i would be slaughtered if i bumped this...
csamp - i'd rather have a tail. then i could swing from it. it'd help with my gymnastics
So I'll get slaughtered instead.
Anthony, if that was offensive, I'm sorry. I'm just really excited for any bits of information we can get about this whole process...

Hey all --
I'm about to turn in after a great day...
I won't say much except that it was a thrill and pleasure to walk into a room and find Tim Weil sitting at the piano plunking out a tune for me to sing. It had been a while. He's a great man and a wonderful musician.
And then it was wonderful to get to meet Tracie and Rosario, who are both sweet as hell and talented as hell.
Everyone involved seems to have their hearts in the right place.
And trust me on this:
the screenplay and approach *will continue to evolve and change.* I won't be giving any of that away, so you can all feel free to speculate all you want. But believe me, it won't be a finished product until it's in the theatres. It's a collaboration, and we're going to continue to discover what will and will not work in this context of bringing Jonathan's vision to life onscreen.
That's all for now. Sorry if it might seem a bit cryptic, but I'm going to have to be a little cryptic from here on in. But it's *all GOOD.*
Take care --

Hey, Anthony!
I just wanted to say before I head to class, that it gave me a real charge to see you so excited about your first day. Day one, and the energy's already there? Very awesome.
It's like... getting that feeling that this is all going to work out, hearing from you like we do. Thanks for being our -positive-
window into this world of rehearsals and production, and thanks for knowing what to say and what not to say. Speculating isn't a bad thing at all.
Best of luck!
Cryptic is better than nothing
I think we're more interested in the process than the actual material anyway...or at least I know I am.
Thank you!
Hope you'll continue to tell us what you can

Thank you for being secretive, I certainly don't want it to be spoiled.
Was it nice to revist Rent again or did it feel a little odd? And are you ok with posting your thoughts on the gay marriage theme? I personally don't like it, one of my favorite things about Rent is that the sexual orientation of the gay characters is never really turned into an 'issue' (aside from Maureen dumpig Mark and him taking it hard, but that's understandable. It sucks to be ditched), everyone is just themselves.
ETA- So Wilson is Angel? I was never quite clear on that.

Thanks so much for the update Anthony--how exciting!!!
After seeing Rosario doing interviews for Alexander I'm liking her more and more, just as a person even.
And yes, I'm almost positive that Wilson is Angel. As a matter of fact, I'd bet my left nut on it.
(God I hope I'm not proved wrong somehow)

thanks for the update anthony -- any news is good news, even if it's cryptic. i've been so excited all day yesterday and today just knowing that it's actually happening in the first place. we're all just dying for ANY information at this point. THANK YOU!

EDIT - "so you can all feel free to speculate all you want"
^^ oh i'm sure i'll be speculating up until 11.10.05... it's in my blood

Well, this has been said, like, seven times (assuming I counted correctly and nobody posted in between my clicking into wanting to post and submitting) but I must say it one more time:
Thanks so very much for the update! It's glad to hear you had a great first day (always a good sign...)
Cryptic=Awesome as well (But not in the word problems in math class way, or in the cryptology way--I don't get how people do the advanced problems like that--but in the more way like the healthy speculation type stuffs...oh whatever...I don't think that made sense...). Minds must be churning when something is cryptic and that's usually a good thing...
(Plus, for information, anything is something and something makes us happier than nothing lol... I like feeling somewhat connected and not completely in the dark)
"Everyone involved seems to have their hearts in the right place."
That should be what counts most--if everyone really does have their hearts in the right place, I'm sure the path should unfold beautifully and without too many kinks (as far as big problems, other than you average we're-making-a-movie problems...little scurmishes, a costume needs adjustment, etc...). Everyone who's making this film should be making it not only because its a job, but because it so moves them; they want to be there, and this seems to be true by that statement...makes me glad to hear...
Anyway I'll stop babbling and go write my short's script...
-->Thanks again =!

Eh cryptic is okay. It'll be cool to see the final product. Like everyone else has said glad the first day went okay. First days should always be a great experience. So talk to you all later.
