He's a faker, and you've been taken in by his con. And in doing so, you are enabling him. He is doing more damage to aspergers than papa's words ever could. -Chane/Liverpool on me having asperger syndrome.

There is no future, there is no past. I live this moment as my last. ~ Rent
I linked below where I wrote about it on my blog if interested.
It was honestly the worst Broadway show I've ever seen. I don't see everything (like Urban Cowboy, In My Life, etc.), but you could literally feel the death of energy and life in the audience when I saw it. The music is good but the lyrics to the new songs are pretty bad.
The people at Disney are probably too close to it to really see its faults, though the fact that they didn't send it on the road on a national tour says a lot.
I didnt' hate it as much as most, but I didn't love it either. My kids were a bit torn as well: one 'liked it' the other couldn't wait for it to be over.
As a whole we haven't LOVED: Tarzan, Chitty Chitty, or Mermaid as far as family type shows.
HAVE loved: Lion King, Mary Poppins, Peter Pan, Legally Blonde (OK that one is really "family" but we had fun anyway.)
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
I am in the small like 1% that actually loved the show. I think it had major faults, but I still loved it. I actually think it was much better than TLM. I would rather see the ropes the flew on in Tarzan than the heelies in TLM.
BroadwayBoobs: I'll give all of you who weren't there a hint of who took the pictures ...it rhymes with shameless
I don't think it was TERRIBLE, just not up to par of usual standards. And I'm a big fan of what they do whether on Broadway or on film. But the real problem was no one was familiar with it. I don't think it was as big a box office hit as any other Disney film like, say, "The Little Mermaid" or "Beauty and the Beast" or "Lion King."
And by the way I don't mean to seem rude, Emma, but in the words of Strong Bad, "I thinks it's been entirely too long since you consulted your MLA handbook."
And blaxx, I should mention you sound like Edward G. Robinson with the NOWWWWWWs. Like, he should have never done that film Ten Commandments, I mean with his intonations and ULTRA-NASAL VOICE? I mean, come on! "Where's your Messiah NOOOOOOWWWW? NNYYYEEEAH, where's your Moses NOOOOOOWW, SEEEEEEEEE?"
"How could she just suddenly, completely disappear into thin water?" - The Little Mermaid
i also happen to be in the very small percentage of people who fell in love with the show, it's message, and it's cast. it was a beautiful show, with beautiful music, and an amazingly talented group of actor and actresses.
