Which 'Musical Theater Album' will win the Grammy Award this Sunday ? Which should win ?

Grammys are this Sunday (in case anyone still watches them) and there are six nominees competing for 'Best Musical Theater Album' . Which do you think WILL win ? Which do you feel SHOULD win ? Share your two answers, and why you chose them !

My guess: "MJ" will pick up where the Tonys left off, and will win - due to its popularity. Should win ? Probably SIX, for its originality.

MJ will win but I wish it was one of the original scores.

This makes me so happy! I, like many, assumed MJ would take it! This is a welcome suprise!

I still don’t think the revival will get many Tony noms on the design front, but some of the A-one performances will be realized.

Either way, good for team ITW on this well-deserved Grammy. What a magnificent album.

Thought for sure it would go to MJ. Into the Woods is thoroughly enjoyable. Well deserved.

Brian D’Arcy James was there, but he’s no Sara Bareilles, Phillipa Soo, or Patina Miller I guess.

Shoshana Bean performed at the first ceremony and Billy Crystal presented on the telecast, but they were not expected to win.

Myles being there to present a ton of Grammy categories (including wins for Beyoncé and a Lizzo song) made it look like the Grammys thought he would win.

It is interesting that Into the Woods beat out an entire category from the previous Tony season. It barely made the Grammy cutoff. MJ, Six, and A Strange Loop seemed like likely winners of the award with their big Tony wins, which often coincide. Perhaps vote-splitting coupled with an impeccable recording of a Sondheim score did the trick.

I finally listened to the whole Broadway album of Six (thanks to Sirius XM's constant playing of the Royal Hour many times throughout the day), and it is not a great album. I didn't care for this album of Into the Woods. I think its strength is in the production, because the album just seems like they complied performers for a studio recording.

Yeah I’m not terribly shocked by this. The Grammys actually had the better Sondheim tribute last year (sorry), and Sara Bareilles is an added bonus.

I don’t know, they voted for Bridgerton last year over a Tony winner.
