Who should host the Tony's?

Billie Joe Armstrong.

John Mulaney is an obvious candidate, but he may prefer to save hosting responsibilities for the awards show he REALLY wants to host, the Oscars (which he reportedly turned down this year because of scheduling).
I'm still surprised Lin hasn't hosted.
Ariana Grande & Cynthia Erivo co-hosting would be a huge get for the Tonys. But June might be their one moment to do other work before heading back into another press tour.
I gotta assume people like Josh Gad & Andrew Rannells and Daniel Radcliffe have been asked previously.

Hugh would make sense, given his residency and the fact the awards are back at Radio City, but I would love for Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande to cohost.
Kristin Chenoweth will be a presenter because exact Broadway dates for THE QUEEN OF VERSAILLES will have been announced by then.

they're not even talking to each other anymore. hence why DHP never appeared on the Frasier reboot.
I'll add a vote for Ariana & Cynthia to host!!

Possibly a Hugh/Sutton double act, now that they’re officially together?

Are we all in agreement Ariana DeBose shouldn't host again?

Who was your favorite host of the Oscar's? Or the Golden Globe's?

Ariana & Cynthia feels like a no-brainer to kick off the second WICKED press tour.

I really hope it’s Colbert. I don’t think anyone is as funny and charming as he is. I suppose they could get Corden again, but I wasn’t crazy about his hosting.

I guess if it's on CBS they might want to use Colbert, but I don't really find him that funny. I was pvr'ing his show for a while this past Fall as well as Kimmel, and I found him much more caustic & abrasive. I quit pvr'ing him.

I think it would be a major coup for Jackman. Just no bunny hopping please.

Jennifer Lopez. People will watch.
Hugh and Sutton would be interesting, too, as would Ariana and Cynthia, but Lopez would reverse the declining ratings trend. It would also give her an opportunity to promote the film of Kiss of the Spider Woman.

Jinkx Monsoon.
I also maintain that Jesse Tyler Ferguson would be an excellent host.

I only had to glance at the thread title and I knew that someone would ask this. Do you really not understand what was meant, or have you mistaken this message board for an English class?

I wouldn't count on that. Her tour last year had to be scrapped due to poor ticket sales.

Steve Martin & Martin Short would make a great pair. Jackman seems like the obvious choice given his residency.
Ariana & Cynthia would be a HUGE get, but the Tonys pay their host very little, so I’m not sure if they could afford them. (Alan Cumming disclosed at his bar’s Tonys party years ago that he made something like $4-5K for hosting in 2015.)
John Mulaney would be perfect - but like others said, I think he’s waiting for his big shot at something like the Oscars.

If I consistently said something wrong, I'd want someone to correct me too. But sure, I can't wait to watch the "Tony's" and after I'll listen to the Once Upon a Mattress revival "soundtrack." Words mean things!
