Ok so this is one of my favorite characters and he has a great song at the end. So who should play him? So many good choices. Discuss.

It's not gonna happen, but I would love to see David Hibbard in it.

Just sayin'
This will never, never, never happen in a million years, and in terms of vocal style, it's a terrible idea, but...
Michael Ball. Sorry. Just had to say it. He's funny, he's appropriately rotund for the role, and he does a pretty good version of "Sit Down, You're Rocking The Boat."
Ernie Sabella. Except, I'm sure he's played it before.
In the odd chance that Neil Patrick Harris decided to come back to the stage, he'd be fantastic, IMHO.
I think NPH would be a wonderful Benny, but as Nicely? He's just too small and slight.

Walter Bobbie or Clive Rowe again
Kevin Chamberlain

Lea has played male roles before and was very effective as Marryin' Sam in LI'L ABNER a ffew years ago.
I vote for Walter Bobbie...he was excellent.

Well, since you asked - Daniel Marcus, who is currently rocking the rafters at Pal Joey with his big, beautiful belt!
Nydiva
Another for Ernie Sabella. He was in the 1992 revival, but he didn't play Nicely. He might be too old though.

Didn't Michael Musto suggest Stew a few months ago? Not that I'm advocating it, just wanted to bring it up.
Hey LuPonatic!
Great minds think alike!
I tossed Paul's name out in another thread about this a while ago.
He's the best choice so far!

Chris Fitzgerald was a great idea, as was Chamberlain- both of them can actually act.
