On Broadway? The first preview of BIG was jaw droppingly awful. VICTOR/VICTORIA for being pointless and ruining the reputation of the movie. WHOREHOUSE GOES PUBLIC was hideous but always entertaining.
I saw a really awful show at the Zipper Theatre a few years ago called DOWNTOWN DISFUNCTIONALS - it was maybe the worst professional piece of theatre I've ever seen (except for maybe Mitzi Gaynor in ANYTHING GOES).
A summerstock production of South Pacific. I felt like I died, was ressurected by the piercingly aweful singing, and then died again. I . left at intermission
"We don't value the lily less for not being made of flint and built to last. Life's bounty is in it's flow, later is too late. Where is the song when it's been sung, the dance when it's been danced? It's only we humans who want to own the future too."
- Tom Stoppard, Shipwreck
Phantom of the Opera The most overly repetative, over glamorous piece of crap I've ever seen. How it's lasted so many years is beyond me because it's a piece of absolute ****. Harold Prince should be embarassed to have his name associated with it, I don't care how much money it makes!
haha this thread is making me sad.. i actually really like cats! haha i havent seen any local performances of it, but i saw an equity touring performance and i loooved it!
I may be alone on this one, but Cats (lol, just joking. I didn't realize that that many other people did not like it). I am so glad I didn't spend my own money on it.
Arghh! Grammar pet peeve #1: your vs you're. "Your" is a possessive pronoun. "You're" is the contraction of "you are."

Community? I saw an absolutely horrendous production of Jane Eyre. I don't hate Jane Eyre as a show, but this production was just horrendous. I think Jane was older than Rochester and neither one could sing.
Cats. I was 6 and so excited to see it. Well, I convinced my parents to take me home at intermission I was so bored out of my mind. At least they were free tickets so my parents didn't really mind.
(Normally I would never walk out at intermission during a show, but I was only 6 at the time and really didn't know any better.)
ahh bye bye birdie! i just finished a run of that, did it when i was 11, and just auditioned for it with a community theatre company. haha not going to lie, i love that show.
